wicking a 9 oz balmoral w/soy

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if some one could give me a starting point for a 9 oz balmoral jar? I have read some of the wick suggestions that suppliers have on their site but I am not sure what to do with this jar because the middle section of it is large than the top.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jamie

Ok, so is it the jar that you can't wick or the wax? Since you said you switched to a soy blend than I am assuming it was the wax?

Sigh I hope not the jar because I just love the look of them..

I'd start with one of the three largest sizes you have and see how it works with your wax and FO. Keep in mind that you may need to burn it a few times before it goes all the way across; it should catch up on subsequent burns. You might want to start out with a simpler jar until you get the hang of it. I tend to get more wet spots in my balmorals than the straighter jars.

HTH!

It burns alot better in the new wax..but there are more smoking issues that I am not happy with ..so I don't do some of the scents anymore that smoked too much.

I like the jars as well..but they are pain with plain soy.

Jamie,

I am glad to see that you made it here. I do love the look of the balmorals but like I told you that are going to be a PITA to wick. There are lots of beautiful containers out there. Don't pull your hair out trying to wick this one jar.

Good Luck!
