storm35
Here in the UK, it is unheard of to use food colouring, we are not allowed to do that here.Cxxx
eugenia
That is odd, we can use food coloring in B & B products here in the US. After all, they are rated safe for consumption. The Wilton colors are dyes specifically made to tint icing. First you state it's unheard of to use food colors, then you state it's not allowed. You might want to research further. storm35
Yes it is unheard of, if you were using food colourings here in UK, you would get shut down, we are not allowed to use it at all in bath products, thats where UK and USa are diffrent, you guys are soo lucky you can add many things that we cant.Unheard of as in not allowed at all.Cx

CDGM
Ohh sorry i bothered you, Not a bother... I was shocked about it at first too but glad we can use them in the US since they do give great colors!
storm35
Yes you are all very lucky, we cant understand why we cant use food colourings as they are made safe for eating, so why cant we use them in soaps, we have no idea, shame really, usa have loads of very pretty colours. We also have to have our labelling done right, we have to list the allergens adn ci numbers, also keep a note of everything that goes into our products, list batches, its a night mare lol.Cxx

metime
I would love to use the Wilton's colors. Can you use them in MP soaps? Are they good for layering and swirling?
Grumpy Girl
You can use them in MP soap, but the colors bleed into each other. They're really pretty though.
candlebean
I've seen a thread talking about the Wilton colors fading after a while....do you have that problem in your scrubs now that it's been a while since you posted those awesome pics? Just curious...

CDGM
My colors are still as vivid as when I made them. I wonder if maybe because in the jar the lid and label protect it from sun and uv rays so it helps.
