candlenose
I left a pot of wax and fo on a burner, on low, about 4 hours:shocked2: . It still smells good ,but do you think it burned some of the scent off? It was probable about 150 degrees.
ChrisR
That's one of the first rules of candlemaking......NEVER leave a melting pot unattended!! A flash fire can start in an instant......you're very lucky!! If it sat that long, I'm sure some of your scent did burn off, but you'll never know till you pour and test for scent throw!! candlenose
Yes , my memory is going down hill with the rest of my body.LOL. No, not really funny.Thankfully it was on low.Remembered that i was going to throw some laundry in the washer and would come back to it. Husband, kids, dinner later...jump out of chair and ran..and i mean I RAN, out there. But , really doesnt the scent burn off, if its like 200 or more? MasterBaker2
I heard somewhere that it starts evaporating at 180 but don't know if there is any truth to that.
bugtussle
What you did was make a giant tart in a warmer. I'm sure you lost a good bit of scent.
