tyru007
Made a first batch of tarts this weekend and wow do they seem stong. Used Ecosoya PB and a some CB with 1 oz/pp of several FO and they came out great with no frosting and a great cold scent. We couldn't wait so we popped one (a fluted tart about 3/4 oz) in the electric tart warmer about 24 hours after we made it using a Best Friends from NG. Drove us out of the house it was so strong. After curing, will the tarts release the fragrance a little more gradually or will they get even stronger? idacandlelady
I'm not sure about the tarts but I know that the best friends from NG is a very strong thrower hot or cold. Also I have heard that tarts tend to be strong anyway. If it were me I would use a little less FO and see if that makes a difference. bugtussle
Are you sure the warmer isn't made for simmering oils? If the wattage is too high, it gets the wax too hot and burns off the FO very quickly.
tyru007
The tart burning we use is rated 18Watt, which seems consistant with other tart melters I have seen.
iammommytwo
I use the same PB--luv it!! I do find that most of the tarts are quite a bit stronger than a candle persay. I think it also has to do w/the fact that they are all melt pool, so the FO is released more quickly. I would maybe cut back on the really strong FO's.HTH;)
