crazymom
I am just wondering if you would recommend using something other than liquid dye for a 70/30 blend, or just soy in general, seems when I use blue liquid dye, just 2 drops pp, for a light denim blue, I always seem to get frosting issues. Anyone else notice this??TIA
idacandlelady
I have frosting issues with several colors. I am using ecosoya pure cb soy. I haven't yet figured out what will stop the frosting. I have ordered some frostop fromhttp://www.barnloftcandles.com/candle_making.html. I'm really hoping this helps. Let me know if you find a solution, I will let you know if the frostop helps! hewells
Have you checked out the Pryme dyes or EVO? Do a search on these...there is alot of information.
pocha
Have you checked out the Pryme dyes or EVO? Do a search on these...there is alot of information.I "second" the Evo dyes.... I have been using them in the gw464 and most times get NO frosting at all. With deeper colors I sometimes get a little tiny bit of frosting. When I tried (previously) the wax color chips the frosting was out of control!
boggled
It is more likely the wax also, not just the dye, reds and blues are tough.
geekrunner
I use Pryme dyes and I like them, but I do have problems with frosting on any deep brown or blue, or any color that has any blue in it. Red, yellow, light brown, no problem. Keep the shade as light as possible and frosting is nonexistent, or barely noticeable.geek
