Working INCI in reverse?

Avalon Organics, Kiss My Face, and Alba all make a non-soap cream shave that I am eager to try and replicate, but I can't find a recipie that seems similar. Is there a way to analyze the ingrediants list to guestimate what the general formula would be? I obviously don't want to try to crack the code on the exact combinations these companies are using, but this product really interests me.

We'll figure it out :) Besides knowing the ingredients and what they do, it helps to figure out what the %s are - that's the hard part. Cuz everything 1% and less can be in any order. But you can kind of guess - it's kind of fun. Post the ingredients and let's all have a go at it :)

Ok here it goes. I couldn't find Avalon's but I did find Tom's, Alba's and Kiss my face. Tom's has a soap base, but I included it because from the list it was not made via a lye process as far as I can tell. Alba's clearly states that it is non soap and I can't figure out Kiss my Face.

Isn't it funny how once you get into B&B how much you start to notice lables and the ingredients. I am always so thrilled when I know what some of those ingredients are and what they do. I sure hope you can figure this out. With the help of Bunny and Robin my money is on that they will do it.

I'm trying! Things are getting totally nuts around here with the move coming up this weekend, new things keep happening and I'm totally pulling my hair out! I promise Jorie, if I haven't got to this by the time I move, it'll be on the priority list.. I've got it copied into Word, so I can't see anyone elses rendition of what it should be...lol

Citrus aurantifolia - lime

Thank you all for your help so far. One question though, is this the fruit or the mineral?

I'm thinking it's the essential oil of the fruit, on several of those all that came up were sites in foriegn laguages :shocked2: all I did was copy and paste the name over into google and looked at what came up, several of the items were on sites such as thesage.com a very excellent suppliers site.
