lindsaycb Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Does anyone have any experience with them in wax? I bought some Citron en Figue from Top awhile back and this stuff is drool worthy in bubble bars & scrubs. So I'm wondering if anyone knows how sweet cake scents perform in wax. Quote
babyrn Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I'd like to know this too, I've been wondering for a while but to cheap to try. Quote
RobinInOR Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Ginger Essence gives a fuel smell.Sandalwood Vanilla is awesome. Those are the only 2 I've tried. Quote
giedre11 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I have several of their scents I've been using for bath and body, so decided to try some in candles. I've used Secret Garden, White Tea and Ginger, Tahitian Petals, and several others I just can't remember right now. They all throw great! I love their stuff! Quote
Gypsyjen Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I've used many of their FO's in soy. I've only had a couple that DIDN'T have a kick-butt throw. My faves:Stella McCartney typeFracas typeTrue RoseCountry Christmas Quote
daniedb Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Delish in wax:Citron et Figue (my absolute favorite)Gin Martini mixed with their BlackberryYuzuTrue Mango Quote
Shisha Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 So far I've used two or three of my SC FOs in candles--I have tons of the 1 oz samples to choose from because I've been doing B&B for a while now. I've used Raspberry, Sandalwood Vanilla and Spruce Garland and they worked very well. Quote
lindsaycb Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Oh this is good news! Make that GREAT news.I'm just in love with this one...so I'm off to try others now. YUMMY Quote
ChrisR Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I have about 15 of their FO's that I use in my candles......LOVE Sweetcakes!! Quote
lindsaycb Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Any input on which ones just don't cut it in candles? Quote
Gypsyjen Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 The one that comes to mind is Lavender & Herbs, which is too bad because I REALLY wanted that one to work. Also Stress Relief did not throw well, but the oil was old so that might have had something to do with it. Quote
daniedb Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Oh, yeah, I totally forgot about Stress Relief. A total non-starter in a candle. Terrible throw. Disappointed, too, because it's yummy! I'll post again if I think of more. Quote
