idacandlelady Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 In soy candles ,when I test burn them ,the whole melt pool(after it sets back up) is a different color than the rest. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am using liquid color, could this be the problem. What kind of dye is best to use? If you can't tell, I'm new to this. Crystal CandleMaker Posted April 22, 2006 Share Posted April 22, 2006 It could just be "bloom" which is a normal discoloration due to exposure to the heat that can occur in natural waxes like beeswax and soy.
