Olive Pomace versus Olive oil

I was doing a search to find out exactly what Olive "Pomace" is and found the following article. So my question is, why would you want to use Olive Pomace instead of Just Olive oil in your soaps or other B&B items? I didnt read your article, but I use it in soap because it's cheaper and it soaps well. If i were putting it in leave on products i'd use EVOO.
