Firehouse
Hi All,I have a stupid question. I use the 4630 harmony blend from Peaks. Lonestar is much closer to me (cheaper shipping). Is there a difference in the 4630 from these suppliers, or are they the same????
CallawayCandle
I don't use this wax, but if it is made by the same co I would think it is the same wax. I use EL soy and I would buy it from other suppliers because they are not the ones making the wax they are just distributing it. sudsnwicks
It should be the same thing. So if I were you I would get it from the nearer place to save on shipping.
tlc26
4630 is the type of wax, meaning that it is the same wax. It is just distrubted by more than one supplier.
Jane42
I use 4630, which I have purchased from Candles and Supplies, Lonestar and Peaks.I recently wanted to order from Bittercreek, and they carry 1945, which the last time I ordered the 4630 from another company, it was listed as 4630/1945. When I received it, it does look "whiter" but I am hoping it really is the same.Any comments or experience with this?
Meredith_D
1945 and 4630 are the same wax (Harmony Blend). IGI called it 1945 before officially and permanently calling it 4630.I use 4630, which I have purchased from Candles and Supplies, Lonestar and Peaks.I recently wanted to order from Bittercreek, and they carry 1945, which the last time I ordered the 4630 from another company, it was listed as 4630/1945. Firehouse
Thank you very much. I thought this would be the case, just wanted to be sure. The shipping is definitely less coming to me from Texas versus Colorado.

aswan01
The same product could possible perform or look differently if they were produced in different plants. I know that Bitter Creek North & Bitter Creek South note on some of their waxes they sell that although they are the same waxes they are from different plants & will not necessarily perform the same. So if you want the exact same wax you may want to check with your supplier on which production facility for the company it came from.
