Ingrid
I am sure all of you must be tired of wicking questions but here goes anyway. I am using J50 wax with 1.5 oz blueberry scent tinted very dark blue.\ I am trying to get a full melt pool in a 16oz apothacary jar with one wick CD18. No luck too much hangup on the sides. Tried 2 60-44-18 but too much melt pool too quickly 1/2 hour and full melt pool. I am now trying to use 2 44-28-18paper. Still waiting for the results. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have been successful single wicking the 16 oz apoth with a CD18 on my lighter scents and colors but blueberry and home made apple pie and french vanilla seem to be my problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ingrid:confused:
Crafty1_AJ
The blueberries I've tried are too heavy for single wicking in an apothecary. Not to mention the fact that typically I color them vivid blue. Too much dye; too heavy an fo. I couldn't get that scent single wicked. AngelaVA
You coudl always try cutting back on the FO. I never need more than 1 oz pp in J50. I also double wick apothocaries, since I couldn't get them to burn well single-wicked. If you tried 2 60z, but that was too large, have you tried two 51z? That might work better with the FO/dye combo you're using.
