I sealed a few pillars and with the tubing you have a seam on the top of the pillar and on the bottom of the pillar. I would rather the seam be down the side (I think). ChrisR Posted March 31, 2006 Share Posted March 31, 2006 I have no problem with my pillars standing up with a seam on the bottom. What I do.......when you shrink the bottom, immediately, while it's still warm, stand it up and kind of slide it across your work bench. Hold the corners when heating so they flatten up against the side rather than the top/bottom, then press them firmly while still warm. You'll not be able to use tubing and have side seams.
