younggrasshper
I forgot to say that these are my first CP logs, and I'm not sure how I like them. I normally do CPHP so CP is quite different for me, I've only tried it 2 other times. I tried 3 different recipes, two 2lb batches and 1 one pound batch. Bergamot is the whitest one, I used EO and red clay for the color, then the orangish one (my colorants aren't the best, it didn't turn out AT ALL like I wanted it to!) is pink sugar! the one on top is jungle love and I think it smells like bubble gum, juicy fruit I think..... Fire and Ice
Looks great to me but I don't make CP soap yet. I'll bet they smell awesome though! Keep up the great work!
Purple Lilac
They look pretty to me but don't be surprised if the pink sugar turns brown - I made a batch of pink sugar and all though it smells wonderful it turned brown. Did the one loaf break?
CallawayCandle
I think your soap looks really nice! CP just seems like alot of work to me. I admire anyone who makes it.

heirloomoriginals
They all look nice! I have done 2 batches of CP after doing 2 batches of CPHP and I am not sure which one I like better. I like that the HP is ready to use sooner, but it seems like the CP gives you more play time for colors and stuff.Congrats on your first batch!Steph
younggrasshper
it didn't break, I did it in my "martha mold" and the 2 bigger ones were 2lb batches that fit it, the other one is a 1lb batch so I stuck a piece of cardboard wrapped in wax paper to make it smaller and when I tried pulling the cardboard off it REALLY didn't want to come loose.....It was still a little warm so I left it on there a while and then yanked it off. thats why it doesnt look so great, but I just wanted to try the different recipesOh and the pink sugar is already changing....you can see it in the first pic on the 2nd post, its the bottom bar on the right, and in the 3rd pic its in about the same position. You can see that I tried to swirl.....but the colors just didnt take!

siberia
They look great! No way those are your first batch! Were they really soft when you unmolded? Sometimes I find that with certain CP recipes patience can be a virtue. I think that some of the more mild/luxurious soaps require extra sitting time in the mold. Pink Sugar should really be called Brown Sugar. :laugh2:All of the heavy vanilla FO's go brown. I've even seen some that go completely black after 6 months. younggrasshper
no wasnt my FIRST batch, i guess i could have said it clearer....they were my first logs....i had tried cp 2x before but I think these ones turned out better. they were still soft but i didn't think they would harden up with out me taking them out of the mold. I did them and put them in the oven set to 200 for a couple of hours and turned it off, let them sit over night, took them out and let them sit till the next day to take them out of the mold. still soft but ok to handle, I let them sit 2 more days before I cut them because of how soft they seemed.
