Hibiscus
Also, where do you find excellent quality FO's and EO's. I've tried various suppliers for my other candles and I am not completely satisfied with them. Also, one more question. What do you use to melt gel wax in? Because I am new at this I don't want to spend tons of money on test equipment. When I started with the other waxes I bought supplies from thrift stores. TIA, HibiscusRead the basics on gel candle making and now all I need is a good FO and EO supplier!..
Vicky_CO
First EO will not work for gel. You can not use them not only are most polar the FP becomes a real problem with them. There are quite a few good supplier for gel safe FO http://www.silkytyme.com/http://www.rusticescentuals.com/aboutgels.htmlhttp://www.biomax1.com/http://www.brighterscents.com/index.htmlOther suppliers that have some great gel FO arehttp://www.peakcandle.com/http://www.candlesupply.com/The list really goes on and on even if you get a FO that says it is gel safe you still have to test to make sure it is and test every time you get new bottle even if you tested that same FO in a sample form. Things can happen.I have in the past got FO that I test gel safe and then got a new bottle and low and behold it was not safe most good gel suppliers are really careful but sometimes things happen.
