SueH
Has anyone made homemade laundry detergent? I found some recipes on the internet that i'm interested in trying and my question is can you use fragrance oils in something like this? TIA!! Grannyscandles
I have made the home made laundry detergent and yes you can use your FO in them. However, for cleaning power I recommend sweet orange essential oil.
tonyalc
Yes, that is something I definitely want to try. Anything citrus, clean cotton, clean ocean smells....I could go on and on and ..... I used KYs Summer Breeze FO in a CP batch of soap the other day and it smells just like Gain laundry detergent...(I'll post pictures in a day or two). I'm not too keen with it in a body bar of soap (actually was about to hurl as I was stirring) but, I know of some family and friends that are coo-koo for this scent and they'll LOVE it. I used 1 oz. PPO and man alive the scent stays on your skin for a LONG time!!
Sara
I've made some before without much success. Although that was before I was making my own soap. I'd definitely like to try it again sometime, though. The ones I've made before worked, but just not as good as I would have liked them to. I believe they involved "rebatching" Kirk's or something.Anyway, I'd be interested to hear your findings if you try it.
