izzy2
What is the difference between a 44-24-18z and a 44-32-18z wick? Is there much difference when burning these wicks?
DaisyFairy
On the taylored concepts site (http://www.tayloredconcepts.com/wicks.htm)they give this info on their wick page just above the zinc wick listings....The first set of numbers is the thickness of the wick, the larger the number, the thicker the wick. The second set of numbers is the speed at which the string goes through the wicking machine gear, the faster it goes through, the tighter the wick and the slower the burn. The third set of numbers is the code for the temperature of the wax as the wick goes through the various gears. hope that helps a little.. I have not noticed a great difference in these two wicks.. but not sure if others have.

Anna
Sometimes I think the 44-32 burns hotter than the 51-32.There has been discussions on the old board about this. Anna

serenity
I agree Anna. It's been my experience that the 44-32 burns hotter than the 51-32.
