BizzyBs
I need to mix something at a ratio of 3 to 1 and can't for the life of me figure it out. How do you figure ratios? (sorry, not a math wiz LOL).The bottle I am filling is 10 ml and I need to add the two ingredients at a ratio of 3 parts to 1 part.Anyone here that can help me out...purty please? TIA
MichelleOH
Divide your 10ml into thirds. That should give you your ratio.
daniedb
Wouldn't it just be 2.5 mL per part?So - 3 parts of X = 7.5 mL 1 part of Y = 2.5 mL-------------------------- 10.0 mL
SatinDucky
You'll need 4 parts total then. 3 parts of one, 1 part of the other. So you would divide by 4, ending up with 2.5. 3 x 2.5 of one, 1 x 2.5 of the other Ya beat me to it daniedb
Beth-VT
Danielb is correct. 3 parts 'A' and 1 part 'B' = 4 parts. 10ml divied by 4 = 2.5ml for each part.3 parts 'A' = 7.5ml1 part 'B' = 2.5mlIt's just like percentages. Take 100 and divide it by however mnay parts you have. 100 divided by your 4 parts = 25...or 25% for each part
