AngieB
Can I use an Attar oil or a perfume oil to make a candle? Is fragrance oil and perfume oil almost the same? I know that there are some oils you cannot use for candle making and was wondering if this one an example of one of them. The Parfumerie has the Rose scents I was looking for but I dont know if perfume oil is used for candles?
TallTayl
As long as the scented component of your candle doesn’t contain known wick-issue-causing ingredients, it theoretically might be used. You will need to thoroughly test for compatibility to ensure the scent does not separate from the wax over time and in different temp/humidity conditions. Fragrance separation in any amount could lead to flashing over if the flame ignites a pool of fragrance. It’s best to never use any perfume/scent (or color) that contains any amount of alcohol, water, DPG, etc as they will wreck a wax based candle quickly.
