Marika Voll
Good morning to all candle makers! Earlier I’m used to use coconut wax from China. Now I already 2 months testing RCX wax | Nature Wax (660-55M) - it’s the similar waxes. I like the ct and ht of these waxes. But have the big issue - dirty glass after burning. These waxes produce really small melt pool (and I suppose the melting point of them at least 50 degrees - not 40 as announced). With Chinese wax I didn’t have such problem. Now I’m thinking to add Nature Wax Coconut 1 to increase melt pool. Which proportion should be good? 10/20/30%? *of course i will test* Maybe somebody had the same problem? Thank you in advance! TallTayl
Personally, that residue is no a deal breaker in my view. But I understand wanting to try. I would start with 5%, and work up in 5% increments to find the balance for your jar, wicks and fragrances. coconut1 is just hydrogenated coconut oil with a melt point around 92*F. It can or fine, but can easily throw off the balance of the candle which sounds like is working well otherwise.
