WendyLG
I am trying to make layered candles and getting a thin white line between the layers. i am using parafin wax. I waited a couple of hours between the layers, but there wasn't enough shrinkage to get overspill.
TallTayl
What type of wax are you using? are you heating your wax for each new layer hotter than the first pours?

Parafin wax, and we don’t measure the temp we just wait till it is all melted. We do melt it in a bowl over boiling water.
TallTayl
Layering paraffin waxes can be temp sensitive. Usually a layer is poured about 10 degrees F hotter than the manufacturer recommended pour temp of the specific wax. This helps ensure a good bond between layers and should minimize imperfections.
