Daisymay66
I have been making candles for about 15 years now but have never used dye. Thinking of trying a couple ideas I have. Would anyone share their experience with dye? Is liquid dye better? Are all dyes pretty much the same? Thanks so much for any help!
ErronB
My experience with dye, some suppliers are more potent than others but generally all pretty decent. I liked the liquid because it was easy to just add a couple drops and be done with it. I don't use it anymore because of the way it effects wicking, certain colors can really mess with the sizing and also cause mushrooming that you wouldn't normally get. But of course, everyone has different experiences with candle stuff so just get a couple colors from the usual places that carry good stuff like Candle Science / The Flaming Candle / Aztec etc and give it a try. Worst case scenario you don't like it and you're only out a few bucks.
