karinz40
I am making a 16 oz candle, my first large one, and am using Barnwood fo from Aztec. My wax is 60/40 blend of 6006 and 6425 I cannot for the life of me get a wick that will burn correctly. I need some suggestions on what to try. I have used the cotton core only so far but not a good burn. Thanks in advance.... Karen
Guest OldGlory
Karinz, I am not familiar with 6425 - what kind of wax is that?We also need the dimensions of the jar - how wide (inside the glass) and how tall?I have used Barnwood from Aztec, and I use 6006 all the time. Maybe I can help.
Jcandleattic
Do you mean 4625? If so that's a paraffin blend pillar wax. I've never used that in a blend with 6006 for containers. I use a completely different wax for my containers (J-50 with additives) and use zincs to wick them.

Guest OldGlory
You know.... 12" tall and 3.25" wide is more than 16 oz. Is one of your dimensions off? I regularly pour wax into a 3.2" diameter, 4" tall jar and it's 13 oz of soy, or 12 oz of parasoy without going to high into the neck. Something is off.
