JABE
Maybe a silly question, but I've only ordered liquid dyes from one supplier so far (they last forever). I haven't needed to order more yet. They seem so strong and chemical smelling. Is this normal for all companies? I even thought I smelled the chemical smell in one of my clamshells when I opened the package. I only used 1 Drop per pound on those. So it's not like I put a bunch of dye in. When I open my drawer to my dyes the chemical smell is just so strong. It also makes me think the candles and tarts/clamshells would have a stronger throw with ZERO dye. Lids are on tightly too. Just wondering if this is normal. My dyes came from CS. Vicky_CO
Yes liquids dyes have an odor but the small amount you use in the candle is not going to affect the scent throw. The smell usually dissipates in the wax.
