cracker
Can anyone help me with a wax or blend to make tarts? I have had a lot of requests and want to give it a fair try. Thanks

SuzyK
You'll get a lot of different answers here. A lot of us use different waxes. It does depend on which kind of wax you would like to try.
cracker
The wax is the issue, I saw IGI has several types which they say is good for votive or tart. I'm not sure where to start and don't wish to invest allot of money. Any base line and experience with the wax you use would be great. cracker
Sure! Can you tell us what waxes you use assuming you make candles?Paraffin, soy?I use 4627 comfort blend with a dab of soy. I do make containers and they come out perfect every time. I have been working on a special project for about 4 months now which I have been told has never been done before with success. I made 2 so far and think I have the process down solid.
justajesuschick
One of my blends is 4627 mixed with IGI4625. VERY nice tart blend.
Belinda
I agree with Karen! Although I've never used the 4625/4627 mix myself, I've smelled some of hers and they're great! I have used 4625/4630 and 4625/6006 with good results too. I think either way you can't go wrong!
cracker
Are you doing the blend 50/50/
justajesuschick
I do 60% 4625 and 40% 4627. I pour into oval cups so could not say how that blend would release from clamshells.
SliverOfWax
If you browse the 'wickless' forum, there's much information there about tarts:http://www.craftserver.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?44-Wickless
