Dolphin146
I was just wondering what sells better soy or paraffin. I was making 2 oz jars and I gave up on soy and soy blends Now I am tring straight paraffin. It seems to be doing better. But I am worried that they may not sell good because there all paraffin. What do you think.
ksranch
I don't make anything soy - all paraffin - and I'm doing fine.
ChrisR
My customers don't care what kind of wax it is and long as it has a good throw, burns well and doesn't soot.
Dolphin146
Thanks I was a little worried about switching. But I feel better about it now.

Guest OldGlory
My wholesale clients ask for a specific wax in specific applications. I sell more soy 464 than anything else, but I sell enough 6006, a parasoy blend. I don't think the average consumer really cares, except that it perform well. Some ask if it's soy (I use a parasoy) but most buy on smell.
emilyspoppy
The last time I remember a customer asking about wax type was when she approached my register while holding three of my jar candles;Customer; "Are these soy candles?"Me; "No! They're made with paraffin wax."Customer; "Good! I'll take these."(Note: Honest in every detail as I recall it.)HTHDave @ Charlotte Hall Country Candles
SuzyK
My customers all like that I use soy rather than paraffin.
