chrisasst
I stopped candles a few years ago. I used 4794 wax for votives. I think I used a CD-5 wick. CandleScience is the cheapest place that I have found for this wax, However the don't have CD wicks. Their suggestion is a LX-14. I don't recall trying that wick before. Is the lx-14 wick good for this wax in votive?
Ravens
Have no idea if the LX will work; I use a 44Z for votives made with 4794. Good luck!

Good luck! The 44z is my go to wick with this wax too, depending on f/o, I may have to go one size smaller.
rjdaines
I use LX-8 for a small flame a day a LX-10 for a moderate flame. I prefer the LX-8.
chrisasst
I never got into zinc wicks because I didn't understand the 2 or three number thing. I am looking at a website that has 4 different 36 wicks listed and 5 different 44 wicks listed. What 44 wick do you use?
simply fragrant
I use the 44-24-18 mainly, and for lighter f/os the 36-24-24, hth!

chrisasst
Do you guys use 6% / 1oz of FO per pound?
simply fragrant
Do you guys use 6% / 1oz of FO per pound? For most of my f/o's I do use 6%, on some of the heavier oils (bakery mainly), I do cut back, they burn cleaner for me.
Ravens
With the vast majority of FOs, yes. If I go much over that, most combos will not burn properly and may soot. Some FOs I cut back to around 0.75 pp of wax. For example, I cut back with Fairy Garden (MW), High Maintenance (Starrville), Pineapple paprika (NG), etc.Do you guys use 6% / 1oz of FO per pound? KimberlylovesCandles
I have used the LX from CandleScience and they always worked great with votive wax and I do 6% fragrance per pound.
