ksranch
I'm new with the lip balms and know I will have to test my own to determine it's shelf life. But I wondered if any of you experienced makers of lip balm could tell me - in your experience, do they lose their scent and if so how long would you say? I'm finding that I would prefer to make larger batches, but concerned about shelf life since I'm just now adding them and don't know how quickly they will sell. Any opinion would be helpful. SuzyK
I haven't been making lip balm long enough to say if the scent lasts. Mine seem to be stronger the longer it's been curing. I should put a couple aside to test.As for the rest of the ingredients, the shelf life is whatever ingredient has the lowest shelf life. I think mine is 2 years. Kitn
I have some that are 2.5 years old, not grainy and still flavored but I don't sell them after they are 2 years old. I kept one from each batch until I settled on my go to recipe..
