Delta
I'm not really a big poster on the site, but I do read it a lot. I was looking for another manufacturer because my old suppliers keep giving me price increases or lower quality oils. I like the fragrances that I buy but find that the fragrances are not good enough. A good example would be that I bought 10# of Warm Vanilla Sugar from Lebermuth and it had almost no throw in my wax blend. This makes you add more of the fragrance then normal to get the same throw you want. I bought 25# of Febreze from Chemessence it barely has an odor. I buy 25# of most of my fragrances and 10# of others to try. I'm lucky to have a few tourist spots that I can sell my products pretty easily but I also want repeat business. I found a new manufacturing company offering Joe Malone type. This had me a little excited. I contacted them and got a few samples. They seem to be a lot better than what I've seen lately but still a little pricey. The girl that answered the phone says they are working on opening a online store to help with ordering. Just though I would pass this on. They also don't have the larger minimums I've gotten from other places.
Beth
You buy 10 pounds to try for the first time?! I have to be misunderstanding your post, lol.
Delta
I start with 1 ounce from the supplier and if I like the smell out of the bottle I test it. Usually 1-2# doesn't get me enough oil to test and make enough product for 6-7 stores. Then I usually screw that much up with my dyes. LOL...I buy 10# to try in all my products (tarts, jar candles, pillars, soap, bath balls) at several locations. Some fragrances do great on these trial runs and others not so much. I learned that a fragrance may sell great at one location but not at another. Also the time of year kills the deal.

Delta
I got the samples in of some of the Joe Malone types and love them OOB. The grapefruit is so nice I wanted to wear it as a perfume. The girl I talked with was Gina (I got her name this time) and the samples came in pretty quick. Just wanted to give an update on this post. Also they said they could duplicate some of my other fragrances but I would have to buy a minimum of 25#. I will let you know how they turn out. I sent in some Christmas scents for them to play with. blt212
I just received an email from Gina of this company. Curious Delta if you ever tested any of the scents and if so how do they throw especially if you use soy....thanks
Delta
I had them do a few duplications for me and they came in a few days ago. They seem to be spot on OOB. I poured them yesterday in a few candles (I do use soy and some blends). I will post the results in the next few days but so far very pleased. Delta
Here is the update to my post:I will start with the duplications. I had them do duplications of Amish Harvest, Salted Caramel and Noel Christmas. These came out very close to the targets I sent and the throw in wax was really good. I was expecting these results as this was the reason I had them duped.I also got some samples of the following:Banana Nut Bread OOB good-cold throw not so good- very nice but more banana than bread- when I burned it the smell was betterBlueberry Cobbler OOB super strong- cold throw good- very strong in burnHollyberry OOB strong- cold throw good - burn ok but I don't like this type of fragrance Maple Sugar- OOB super strong- cold throw great- very strong in burnOatmeal Raisin Cookie- OOB seems like no raisin - cold throw better- burn smells greatSugar Cookie-OOB very strong and spot on- cold throw in candle is super strong-when I burned this candle it blew my expectations away. I will be replacing my Sugar Cookie with this one for sure. Over all the fragrances that I had duped are good. The Sugar Cookie was amazing so I will be buying some fragrances from them.
