cindym
Doing 3 x 3.5 pillars with Feather PalmPulling out my hair. I have read all the threads by top, Stella, Henry K, Sabrina etc...Just ordered zincs 51's to try next. The CSN and RRD's fizzle out. I am so done with csns.I am buring one with rrd 55 in it now, started out strong but 2 hours in it's fizzling out. After the zincs I guess it's going to be # 3 square braid or a fire starter lol.Looking for tips , tricks, advice , or a shot of whiskey. I am pouring at 190, these pillars are stunning but I am going nuts with the wicking. Thanks in advance Edited January 14, 2013 by cindym
bugtussle
CSN 9, 11, or 12 work great for my feather-palm pillars. When I need more wick, RRD 37.

bugtussle
I don't think you get full melt pools like with paraffin/soy. I burn mine in a cylinder and when it runs over that's ok. Palm burning is totally different, but I love it.
cindym
RRD55 it is.This wick has performed beautifully , six different fo's. Edited January 27, 2013 by cindym
JanetsCandles
I use Zinc or HTPs in them. Couple things with Palm, especially certain wick combinations in that size. You may not get a full melt pool until 2 or 3 burns in, sometimes not at all. Some FOs will keep the burn from reaching full melt pool on that diameter for me. But it does leave a gorgeous shell. I make a chunk style in it that will glow nicely when burned. I will have to dig out some of mine to show you guys.
