  1. They want a card, a bow, a gift box, and a velvet bag - and want to spend $5 each? Geez, I must be missing something... :tiptoe:

Uh YEAH ! But we're BOTH missing something. And they want it in ONE day? Just exactly who is this person within the company that emailed asking for this stuff and no offense, they are either really clueless or really pushy to want something that fast, with no warning other than 24 hours.

I'd have to say "Thanks but no thanks" . I'd be afraid if they were this pushy wanting something this fast for such a low price, I can only imagine what pains in the asses they are going to be if you try to fill the order.

  2. Jeanie, I didn't have anyone to "invite" me into Pinterest, so I signed up on my own.

After waiting THREE solid months to be "accepted" , I saw the email stating that and it went in the trash and all communications with them were blocked.

If a site says you can sign up, yet it takes three months for me, two months for numerous others I know, to be "accepted" , they can have it.

It's kind of like a supplier who can't get my things I've paid for to me in as timely a manner as others do for cheaper yet are farther away and just as big... then I don't buy from that company anymore.

  3. Awww you did so GOOD !

Since you got the answer on the size bags, just let me add that you can use the larger ones and not have to worry so much about smudges while you're stuffing him in the bag ! ( or you can just use clear gift wrap from the dollar tree and cut it to size !

  4. I personally like bigger letters for the scent names on the items we make.. I mean, if I've got 50 different melt types in front of me, I see that it's from X company, I want to scan and easily find the scent it is !

    They are looking good !

  5. I like the way it's set up. It seems to load pages faster than other boards I've been on, and the fact there are as many different topic forums as there are, it's a lot easier to get what you want to talk about, in it's appropriate place!

Since I don't do CP , it's nice that there is a MP cat so I don't have to wade through tons and tons and tons of posts about CP, just to find something on MP. (nothing against the CP'ers, I just don't do it and have no plans to , so that's why unless I just WANT to go read those posts, I don't have to )

Thank you to whomever made the site, and keeps it up, and to the mods who look out for all of us !!

  6. Only thing I can thing of to do while your guru isn't at home, is possibly get online and see what you can find out about your printer possibly doing this. If that doesn't help, it might not hurt to just call the manufacturer and ask their tech dept. It might cost but most times it doesn't. Hope you find out what it's problem is !

  7. The more I think about this, the more that it's sounding like something I might look into down here. I know NO one does that in this area, and since the candle makers have pretty much left the area a few years ago due to the economy, and also for me not really having an idea what will or wont "go" down here now........ this sounds like something that just might be a good way to feel the area out.

    Hmmmmmmmm..

Sorry for the hijack mzphee !!! But if anyone knows a little more about how to throw one of these shindigs, please email me !!!

  8. Well, there ya go !!! Maggie, I'd just never heard of someone doing that, but , I guess it's a lot more common than I though huh? LOL

Hey, if it works, that is amazing.. kinda sounds like a "mini craft show" with a dedicated audience! Can't beat that !

  9. I hope I didn't come off as unexcited, I'm just a skeptical person sometimes, and I was sitting here thinking that 7 vendors at a HOUSE could go either way, good or bad... and .. honestly, for a while I was thinking " is that woman truly serious about this and really is going to invited all those vendors to her home... please don't let mzphee be taken advantage of ! "

But as the other said, it sounds like a really good chance for you to network and expose you and your product to a lot of people who are specifically coming to spend money.

Have you thought about doing home parties yourself? Mentioning to others that you are available if they'd like to have you throw a home party at their house? If you have the time that is LOL. Sounds like you're doing extremely well this season and THAT is a GREAT thing !

  10. Man 0 Man, you gotta love it when that UPS or FedEx truck pulls up with goodies !

    Bfly, congrats sweetie!!!!

Just be warned and don't do what I did when I first started out, cause I wasn't "thinking".

I got soooooooooo excited and "went to town" pouring and dipping and doing all sorts of things, that I very very quickly ran out of wax and stuff, and then I was sitting there wanting, CRAVING to do more, but soon realized, because of money constraints, I might actually have to SELL SOMETHING before I could buy more supplies ROFLMAO !!!!!!!!

  11. I love the baggie ones like you did !!

But , the day I had a sorry batch of bags and even though the soap temp was definitely cool enough to pour , the seams kept busting....... I decided to start doing them in large condiment cups LOL

I know it's just soap, but dang at all the bubbles while I was trying to clean it all up LOL
