  1. I would also have to say that the Lav/Van from JS is heavier on the Lavender side than the Vanilla.

Downey has a dryer sheet called Lavender Vanilla and I have been searching high and low for this fragrance. It is absolutely beautiful. Smells nothing like Lav & Van at all. If you ever get a chance at the grocery store, pick up a box and let me know if you have a supplier in mind that has something close to this.

My favorite lavender is from the Candle Source, it is a dupe of Johnson & Johnson Soothing lavender baby bedtime bath. It smells just link the J&J stuff and throws great in soy:)

  2. In my kitchen...... And it's not really a messy job if you lay down newspaper before you work, and keep your supplies neatly packed away. I have two wheeled carts in which I keep everything that I need. I just wheel them into the kitchen when I'm making candles, and wheel them out when I'm done.

It does take discipline though. Things can get out of hand very easily..........

I need some of those carts! Does the 3 drawer one hold 16 oz bottle of FO or do they have to go in the 2 drawer one (like JS pound bottle size)? Just wondering if the taller bottles fit.

    Thanks!!

  3. Is this the same Missy that Becky from Just Scent carries a bunch of her old stuff? If so, you could email Becky and ask her, she is very easy to deal with:)

Or you could check the Just Scent site and see if she already has that one.

  4. Well lastnight I did some KY125 with 2% BW and I got cracks down the sides of the container...I didn't measure temp, I poured when it was thick. The top cracked so I did a 2nd pour at a hot temp and the tops were beautiful... Goofy.

But now is there a reason why we wait for it to cool before adding fragrance too?

Not sure, but I add FO around 175-185. If I wait to pour when it is slushy and thick, it does not set up as well:confused:

  5. I hear that! Every week I order...and then the next sale comes out, and I order again... And I can't order anything less than 1lb bottles, then I can't just order a couple of pounds, might as well fill up that box, right? LOL :rolleyes2

Not only that, you get 3 free samples with every order, so more often than not that will add 3 more you NEED to have on your next order. It is a never ending cycle. LOL:laugh2:

  6. Being in Florida the only FL wax supplier right now is EL, which I did test and did not like at all. I have been using and testing Tennessee Candles Celestial Soy for the last 5 months or so. At this point I keep using it because the shipping is reasonable, service is fantastic and if I ever want to get done testing and actually sell anything in this lifetime :shocked2: it would be best for me to stick with what I know and have invested so much time and money into.

The TC Celestial Soy is just Gloden Foods/Brands Plain 415 (Snowtops is the same thing also, and I am sure several others)
