  1. hi everyone. With the cold months coming when soy wax is more likely to frost "bloom" do you think that people prefer their candle dye free or do they still want color. which do you think sells best. I saw quiet a few soy candles at Whole Foods that are dye free. Also do you buy the competitors candles just to test their performance against yours? I don't sell just give out as gifts. I am just curious as to what you guys and gals think.
  2. Is anyone concern about wax clogging their pipes? Where and how do you wash out your pouring pots and utensils used for making your candle?

  4. Hi everyone, When comes to label to you put the size of the container on the label? or do you put the amount of wax it holds? Also does anybody have an insurance company that insures home base candle makers? I live in an apartment do that affect if I get insurance? I want to sell on a small sale just extra cash to pay for supplies. Thanks.

  8. I use the 16oz keepsake Glass jar from candlewic. It holds 12 oz soy wax( before melt) and CD 16 wick . works great for me. Here is a pic. HTH.

  11. Hi everyone for those of you who sell your candles, can you give me some ideas as to how to go about it. I have been making candle for 3 yrs now and have been getting good reviews from friends. I would like to have it as a part time income generator but need info as to how to go about it.( i live in New Jersey) 1. How do you get people to know that you make candles? 2. Do you give out samples? 3. If you do what size do you give? 4. Do I need a license to sell at holiday craft shows? 5. Do you charge taxes separately or is it included in the price of your item?   12. Hi I received the wrong wax from my supplier today. They have offered to replace it but told me to keep the one that i got. I have never used that wax so I am not sure what to do with it. Has any one used Soy 120 for containers? Does it work with CD wicks? I am very partial to 444 wax - this is the only one that i use

  14. Hi everyone. i need help I can't seem to find a correct wick for my palm pillar. It is 3"wide and I have tried : CD 14 which bled CD 12 leaves too much of a thick wall RRD 40 too large RRD 37 seem too small What wick do you have luck with??? Thanks.

  17. I replaced the CD 12 wick with CD 14 and it was a complete mess, my pillar bled all over. Thanks for the advice but i will stay with CD 12.
