  1. Well, that's a bummer! I finally made my purchase list last week and was going to make the order this Wed! Back to the drawing board... Would be great to know who/what company bought his fragrances!
  2. Thanks for the link! I'm very interested in the brittle.
  3. MMMMMM peppermint sounds awesome! I hope everyone enjoys them!
  4. *waves* Howdy and Welcome! I'm new here too and it's a great place to be!
  5. My friend gave me a few tarts she made with beeswax and I am having a devil of a time getting them to melt. I'm assuming that the MP is higher for beeswax, but even when I change my bulb for a higher wattage and it does melt, the scent is not strong at all. Is there another wax that can be joined with the beeswax to make the tarts better? She really wants to continue using the beeswax since her BIL owns a honey farm, but I'm not very well versed on it nor it's ability to hold and throw scent. --CCG
  6. Thank you all! I appreciate all the input. I am def going to start small. I already have silicone molds from when I have picked up cupcake seasonal stuff at Wal-Mart etc, but never got around to actually using them. Lolol I have been reading this forum now for a few weeks and everyone here seems pretty amazing with their willingness to help, so I'm happy to be part of a good group! And if I am not careful I will end up like Coconut "I want them all, all I say!" lolol
  7. Thank you Richard! Any and all advice is most welcome. I am going to start out by focusing on tarts as that is my favorite way to scent my home (with less fear of burning the house down! ). I have begun the search for tart molds and am now weighing the pros/cons of clamshells vs silicone molds. But you are right, I need to keep my enthusiasm in check so I don't burn out before I learn to fly.
  8. Hello All! I'm fairly new to candle making and have been pouring over the forums trying to find out as much info as possible -- and my there is a LOT! I wanted to know if any of you have advice on where I can order samples from without spending an arm and a leg. I know AH/RE has 10 samples for $20.00 but I want to try a few different places without breaking the bank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! CCG
  9. Hi Everyone! I was hoping that you may be able to help me find a FO that is comparable to B&BW's Winter Cabin: Like a secret holiday getaway - a warm, comforting blend of creamy chestnut, crisp cedar and pine, infused with cinnamon and spicy cloves and Acorn & Fig: A medley of fresh apricot, juicy pear and fig blended with fresh cut Birchwood and creamy sandalwood. I want to make some car scents for the guys on my Christmas list, so any suggestions of scents men would like would be welcome! --CCG :smiley2:
