  1. Thank you ChandlerWicks. Stella, thank you, I hope so, but will test for a bit before I sell to make sure that I can repeat the product (Quality Control :) ). Kitn, thank you. Periwinkle, the snowmen and snowflakes are awesome, lots of details in a little mould.

  2. Here are some melties/tarts that just came out and are ready for cure stages

Used a candy mould for these - snowflakes and snowmen - they are made from 95% Soy and 5% Paraffin.

These are a variety of moulds - Christmas and regular sm muffin and a fancy oval dessert mould as well as a 4 pk clamshell. They are citrus scented with Paraffin.

Last ones out are the Macintosh Apple Melties - Clamshells and Christmas mould and these are done with 95% Soy and 5% paraffin. I poured these all last night when the moon was out, which I do with all my wax, pour to the moon. This morning when I awoke the entire house smelled of apples.....mmmmm....lol

    Cheers!

  3. I have moved my candle command post from the kitchen to the basement, after clearing the cobwebs and hobb gobblins I set up shop and here it is in all its basement glory, I have a ton of space to use, just have to set up storage and shelves for stock :smiley2:

  4. I have used the ol Hobby Lobby Paraffin and have brought it up to 190-195 with no issues of FP to date. The one thing to keep in mind, is that not all wax is created the same as the last batch. So if you had a wax that was fine at 190, the next batch may be not the same and the FP could be off a little. As everyone says keep your eye on that thermometer and never take a number for granted, just because it was fine the last time, it might not be the same for each batch. My 2 bits!

  5. Even the best of pillars need a good HUG once in awhile, some might even go as far as even hugging the candlemaker, it has the outcome of making better candles. A happy candlemaker makes better candles. Have you hugged a chandler today? lol...sorry had to add it to the mix :)

  6. Thank you for the welcome and addiction is only half of it....my wife is going crazy..especially when she goes shopping and I tag along and end up with more (Candle Supplies) for the cause. She just shakes her head and asks if I need all this stuff....my reply is (of course I do DW) this is the only way I get to put my hat into all rings at once. Dive in head first and try everything and test test test as all would say. Again thanks to all that make us (newbies) welcome and part of the group (clan).

    Cheers!

  7. Good Day Candle Forum,

I am new to posting but have been lurking in the background reading all your posts and the TON of info around here. At the current time, I am making melts/tarts and dipped bears and flowers and anything else that will hold wax and FO. I use both Soy and Para ATM and enjoy working with both. Just wanted to post a quick Howdy to all, and pics are coming soon. Glad to be among some of the top quality control informative product makers out there. :yay:
