  1. Ok, I have been to the site but can not find any info on registering. I did send an e-mail to Kim a few minutes ago. Hopefully I will hear from her quickly. I would think you would have to give them specific info for the registration and not just mail a check.

If anyone has more specific info to share that would be great!

    Thanks

    Danielle

If you don't hear back email again. I think registration ends tomorrow-you can still go but no goodie bag or lunch can be ordered. Try posting to the yahoo group if Kim doesn't get back to you.

  2. Neat. You all did great jobs. Couple of questions Z. This seems like the crock pot soap I've done-what is the difference in using the KOH as opposed to regular lye? Can this be used as shower gel??

PS-this seems so easy. All the recipes I've seen before have you making plastic tents over your kettle and made it seem so complicated.

    Thanks Z.

  3. Diffuser base is what we cut our FO's with. It is relatively inexpensive(compared to cyclo) and you use less FO in this blend than compared to the cyclo blend. Saves your FO. We use 25-33 % FO (depends on how strong the FO is) to 75-64% diffuser base. We are still testing bases but are planning to add it to our site sometime soon.

  4. Being a totally new venue it is going to take quite a bit of time to build up a customer following, plus this time of year is really bad anyway. Traditionally spring & summer shows ( and first time shows) are even much worse than your ones in the cool fall weather nearer to the holidays. Is there anyway you can help get the word out about the market? Maybe spread the word by posting flyers at your jobs, the local bulletin boards in markets etc. Do they advertise in the small local papers? Around here we call them Pennysavers, weekly papers where folks sell things and advertise garage sales and church rummage sales etc.

    Good Luck.

  5. I love CS and Alabaster. I've only had one that I didn't like, so that's great statistically speaking.

Speaking of shipping, I'm waiting on a small FO order from BW. Apprx how long does it take to get to you? I've already been waiting about 4-5 days so far.

You should have gotten an email when I updated your order as sent, so sorry if it didn't go through. Your order was one with a low flashpoint so it had to go parcel post. Got your order over the weekend and it was sent out Monday morning. :smiley2:

  6. Are you saying that you leave them in the mold to dry?? I've never done that. I either use a meatballer or I've used a plastic easter egg and molded them one at a time. Pop them out of the mold (carefully) and set them to dry in an egg carton lined with paper towels (folded in each egg slot). Leave them dry for about a day and you are good to go. This way you use all of your mix up before it dries.

  7. Yep they are rubber stamps.

Oh yeah, they work really well on HP soaps. I have most success with CP & HP soaps done in the log mold after they are freshly cut. I stamp in mica first and just press down just enough to leave the impression.

Well heck!! This is going to open up a whole new way to spend money!! I never would have thought rubber stamps would work for soap. I'll bet you've just started a run on all the stamping sites girl!!
