Steph,
Spring and early summer shows are usually some of the slowest. Add in the economy and there you go. 5 x table is probably not too bad all things considered. Next time will be better.

Don't quote me but I think it is 'vanilla stabilizer' I am still trying to figure out what FBB is LOL
FBB-foaming bath butter.

I've gotten the poufs and soap socks at the Dollar Tree before-socks 2/1.00 and actually got smaller poufs 4 or 6 in a vinyl bag for 1.00. No shipping. They usually have different sized poufs so many for a dollar. I LOVE Dollar Tree.

Ok, I have been to the site but can not find any info on registering. I did send an e-mail to Kim a few minutes ago. Hopefully I will hear from her quickly. I would think you would have to give them specific info for the registration and not just mail a check.
If anyone has more specific info to share that would be great!
Thanks
Danielle
If you don't hear back email again. I think registration ends tomorrow-you can still go but no goodie bag or lunch can be ordered. Try posting to the yahoo group if Kim doesn't get back to you.

Yea!! I hope you get an answer in time. Both ladies in charge have been quite ill. I know you send the money in to Kim but I didn't keep the address.

If any of you are going to be at the Ohio Soapers Gathering in April we are going to provide delivery of prepaid orders for lye there. 5 lbs or 50 lbs.

NaOH gives you solid bars of soap, KOH gives you liquid. You can use it as shower gel, hand soap, shampoo, to wash your delicates...Heck, I have even used it to scrub the floor.
Hey Thank You!!

Neat. You all did great jobs. Couple of questions Z. This seems like the crock pot soap I've done-what is the difference in using the KOH as opposed to regular lye? Can this be used as shower gel??
Glo
PS-this seems so easy. All the recipes I've seen before have you making plastic tents over your kettle and made it seem so complicated.
Thanks Z.

Diffuser base is what we cut our FO's with. It is relatively inexpensive(compared to cyclo) and you use less FO in this blend than compared to the cyclo blend. Saves your FO. We use 25-33 % FO (depends on how strong the FO is) to 75-64% diffuser base. We are still testing bases but are planning to add it to our site sometime soon.

Being a totally new venue it is going to take quite a bit of time to build up a customer following, plus this time of year is really bad anyway. Traditionally spring & summer shows ( and first time shows) are even much worse than your ones in the cool fall weather nearer to the holidays. Is there anyway you can help get the word out about the market? Maybe spread the word by posting flyers at your jobs, the local bulletin boards in markets etc. Do they advertise in the small local papers? Around here we call them Pennysavers, weekly papers where folks sell things and advertise garage sales and church rummage sales etc.
Good Luck.

I love CS and Alabaster. I've only had one that I didn't like, so that's great statistically speaking.
Speaking of shipping, I'm waiting on a small FO order from BW. Apprx how long does it take to get to you? I've already been waiting about 4-5 days so far.
You should have gotten an email when I updated your order as sent, so sorry if it didn't go through. Your order was one with a low flashpoint so it had to go parcel post. Got your order over the weekend and it was sent out Monday morning. :smiley2:

I use them for a fire starter.

Are you saying that you leave them in the mold to dry?? I've never done that. I either use a meatballer or I've used a plastic easter egg and molded them one at a time. Pop them out of the mold (carefully) and set them to dry in an egg carton lined with paper towels (folded in each egg slot). Leave them dry for about a day and you are good to go. This way you use all of your mix up before it dries.

Very pretty Sassy. Hey where are you from in Pa?? Heirloom & I are both from SW PA also.

NO, NO not fishing for you to shop for me, just wondering if you were close Hermitage PA.

OH YEAH!! There is a Pat Catan's near my sons house in Hermitage Pa. Actually wondering if you are near there as you are NE Ohio? He is just a few miles from the border.

Yep they are rubber stamps.
Oh yeah, they work really well on HP soaps. I have most success with CP & HP soaps done in the log mold after they are freshly cut. I stamp in mica first and just press down just enough to leave the impression.
Well heck!! This is going to open up a whole new way to spend money!! I never would have thought rubber stamps would work for soap. I'll bet you've just started a run on all the stamping sites girl!!

I got that at a website called
Kristy,
These are rubber stamps?? Are they hard enough to stamp soap? I am confused :undecided -never thought a rubber stamp would work on soap.

Boy, we would like to come but it is close to 11 hours for us. I would like to milk a goat. Used to have some but our girl was cantankerous and I never tried to milk her. Now I have llamas-even more cantankerous than goats.

I got a lotion with mink oil in it once in a swap. I thought it smelled like I rubbed a ferret on me. WOW 72-you'll smell like an old ferret!!
