  1. A crew chief is a term for a lead mechanic, in both the automotive industry and the aviation industry. It applies to any aircraft mechanic. I only know this because I am an Air Force veteran of 9 years and I was a crew chief.
  2. I just said trademark infringement 3 times fast while rubbing my belly and patting my head. Now what?
  3. Sweetheart, that's much better. The honey thing just sounds way too southern. And I'm a northern redneck so we can't behaving the whole southern thing going on. I'm not missing your point. The fact is no one cares who you are ignoring. You just look like a child that is trying to spite someone when you publically say that you are ignoring them.
  4. The hardest thing would be figuring out who the crew chiefs actually are. All of the ground crew is going to be wearing ear defenders and reflective vests. One guy may be a loader, another may be avionics or E & E, another may be weight and balance. It would be very difficult to find a random ground crew that has his/her A&P license.
  5. Uhh I'm not your honey...And I couldn't care less who you are ignoring, that's the whole point.
  6. Adjust your glasses sliver and look again. I do apologize for the very low quality pictures, they are quite old. It is a NASCAR candle. And please don't use the old "love the ignore button" thing. That is so childish.
  7. Yeah no, those aren't candles.... Ebay buyers that spend a decent amount of money on an item generally read the entire description, maybe you don't but my buyers certainly did. And Buffalo just scored another touchdown, we may actually win a game this year.
  8. "Never put a wick in a candle that is not meant to be burned". Hmmm if it doesn't have a wick, it is not a candle. Maybe it would be better to "not sell to people that are not smart enough to light a match". Common sense and warning labels go along way. #2, air bubbles in high density versagel are not dangerous. I can't believe how uneducated this Jeanie353 person is. No wonder this forum was shut down before. Wow... Jeanie353 do you even know what a gel candle is or?????
  9. Nice to meet you too Deb, pretty puppy..
  10. Skip the whole going to an airport thing and looking for a crew chief. You will never find one or be able to go onto the ramp to talk one, even if you could identify one. Just google sheet metal fabrication and your town if you want to try the cutoff route, but it's going to be rather expensive. Sheet metal shops do not throw away their cut offs, they scrap them and make x amount of dollars per pound.
  11. Erico, I'm sorry that you have no idea what you're talking about. You're probably one of the geniuses that tried making your own gel. Let me educate you on decorative gel candles. A wick inside a gel candle does not mean that the candle is meant to be burnt. The wick may vary well be there just to identify the piece as a gel candle. I understand that this is probably way over your head so just trust me on this one. In regards to your question about warning labels Erico, every candle should have one on both the candle itself and on the packaging. My candles had my own warning labels on them instead of the generic ones, so my labels were specific to my candles. It cost a little more but I liked the personal touch. Erico, this lesson along with all of the others is free. Yes, that includes the glass dolphins that took three seconds to find. Stick around kid, you may, one day, learn something..
  12. A mandle is a man-candle The ebay sell ID was mandlemaker or kawboy888, it is currently RichLeathers.
  13. Erico, You were the one that started this, look back. I never directed anything at anyone until you came into my thread with your ignorant advice. If you can't handle someone responding to you, I would suggest you stop offering your worthless two cents. By the way, you're welcome for finding the dolphin embeds. In regards to my background as a chemist, umm, you got the methodology wrong, it was a nice attempt to show off but the hypothesis (note the spelling) actually comes first. And you're wrong, I do own this post, you're more than welcome to add to it but if you think anyone is going to bow down to you, you're sadly mistaken.
  14. Glad you enjoyed that Ravens, I was hoping some members would. A little entertainment value never hurts.
  15. Stella, I have been using forums for a long time, I appreciate you defending me but there's no need for it. People form clicks in this forums so if you step on someones toes indirectly, they wage war and their little friends get involved. If I hurt someones feelings by stating my opinions that were never directed towards anyone specific, then so be it. That's their problem, not mine. So when they complain, I don't worry too much about it. In fact I guess that they feel better about complaining, so if i can be an outlet of stress for those individuals, then i am all for it. I will gladly take the brunt of someones desire to lash out online if it makes them feel better about themselves. I have thick skin and am glad to be of service. But thanks again Stella for your kind words.

  17. It's my thread. Does that confuse you? lmao
  18. Yes, you're the one in the crowd, and yes I'm a chemist. If you feel insulted, don't talk to me. Yes, you're that "one" that feels like everything that people say is directed towards you, you're that one that always has to respond to hear the sound of your own voice. I never asked you for your opinion. You replied to my thread. If you feel insulted, don't read or respond to my threads, it's really that simple. I have no desire to hear from you.
  19. There's one of you in every crowd. When it comes to safety I don't worry too much about sugar coating. Neither should you. The biggest thing that I like about gel candles versus any of the waxes is the level of creativity you can explore with gel. Most of the artistic gel candles are pieces of art, only in 3d.And I liked how much cleaner the process is over the waxes.
  20. She could try it. Or she could try going with a completely different style all together.
  21. Jeanne, I used the zinc core wicks from peak, size (44-24-18 zinc core wick)
  22. Yeah I could still make some DVD's, but then I would have to dye my goatee so I don't look like i'm ten years older than I really am!
  23. Nice looking candle. For those of you that actually like the smell of Patchouli....mix up an ounce of patchouli and raspberry together and see what you think of that scent.
  24. Constructive criticism... Those are pretty ugly. I can see what you are trying to do with the colors, the problem is the container. When you want to do something "new" with the color scheme you may have to do something different with the shape of the candle. The container you used in these pics are very common, which takes away from your candles. That container is a contemporary container designed to exude elegance and class with the gentle and smooth curves. Your colors and patterns make me think of woodstock and hippies. So, you should focus on how to shape your candles to make the overall appearance fit. And as others have mentioned, the scent is way off. The comment of tutti frutti is right on. You want a scent that matches the look of the candle. If you want to use a strong scent go with either a fruit, or an ocean breeze, or mountain mist.
