  1. Following the advice on this board, I use polypro bags.  I believe if you are using regular ziplock bags from the grocery, those are polyethylene, which tend to "suck" the scent out.  There is a lot of info in the archives about this subject, including where one can purchase polypro bags, as well as other containers to store tarts in.  I get my bags from GTBag.com,(ultra clear)  but I don't recall that they have gallon size.  I believe a friend of mine gets hers from uline.com .  Also, I make paraffin, not soy if that makes a difference. HTH!

  2. Does anybody know if they are still in business?  I have a question and cannot get a return phone call or email.  Perhaps they have a different number or email addy I can get hold of them by?

    TIA

  3. No, it's not the same type of candle "we make", Chandler! FYI I have developed a wax and wick combo that is out of this world and I'm about to patent it. The entire system can be used indoors and outdoors, wind may be blowing from all directions but the flame will not extinguish. I put the candle underneath a suspended stack of old, dry newspapers, and they did not catch fire (it is equipped with a self-regulating mechanism - top secret). My wax formula contains proteins and vitamins. I always carry a few pounds in my car, just in case I should get stranded in a snow storm and need food. It also makes a perfect solid lotion; also, a few minutes in the microwave, and it'll turn into a perfect hair cuticle smoother... that's right, no more Brillo pad for hair. PM me if you'd like a sample and the combo, k? ;-)

Oh, how I needed a good laugh, thanks Ravens!

  4. Yes, I use the clear plastic molds, especially for seasonal, i.e. pumpkins, leaves, Christmas trees, etc. Just make sure you let your wax cool and they won't warp, I have had mine for 3 years, and they are inexpensive enough to replace if by chance they do warp.

  5. I have ordered a few f/o's from Cierra. Pumpkin Cornbread is very strong, I use 4%pp and blend. I just ordered a sample of Frasier fir (Thymes type), oob smells very good. Oatmeal Milk Honey was good in m&P. Buttercream was pretty standard in comparison to other vendors. Customer service is excellent, ordered on Friday, received pkg on Monday! They use flat rate whenever possible. hth
