    Yikes, well I guess I should have ordered more than just zinc core wicks! LOL. Oh well, I can always order some more. And order more stuff to play with to justify shipping in my own mind (and to my hubby!)

    That's pretty much how I packed mine, I used packing paper instead of tissue paper. What kind of wax do you use? I've been using pillar votive wax.

    Nice! How do you like the Provari? They look very nice, but I just couldn't justify the price when I have 2 silver bullets in perfectly good condition. Mods are addictive and ever changing. I finally decided to sell all but the ones I used the most and quit buying the latest & greatest. You know?

    To me, it looks like a little spatula from a set of toy kitchen stuff would work. Not sure if it would melt the plastic or not though. LOL

    I use a Silver Bullet, custom made for me. Hot pink & Black. My favorite juice vendors are AVE & Liquid Express. Banana & RY4 are my fave flavors. Taboo by Liquid Express is AMAZING! I am friends with Chad (manufacturer & creator of the Silver Bullet, BB & Omega) and quite a few of the Vendors.

    OMG, I'm sorry but these are some of the funniest stories ever! Mostly because I could totally see myself doing most of them! Exhibit A: I use an electronic cigarette, I went to get a bottle of e-cigarette juice out of my little storage drawer. I saw an unmarked bottle of juice and went to sniff it to try & figure out what flavor it was. Out of habit, or stupidity, I gave the bottle a little squeeze while I was sniffing it. Yep, snorted the juice... which contains nicotine. Burned like a Mother Trucker!

    Oh that's great to hear! I haven't heard anything from my buyer yet and tracking shows it was delivered 3 days ago, No news is good news I guess!

    Has anyone tried the Watermelon or the Strawberries & Cream? I got them both and I am dying to try them in a candle. They smell delicious in the bottle!

    Actually I did get that! Haaa, I did have to read it twice though. I am finding that the 52 mushroomed more on the second burn but I got a full melt pool. The 44 mushroomed a tiny bit on the second burn but my melt pool was off center. I think that was my fault. I think I got the wick a tad off center.

    Oops, fat fingers... I meant weigh the candle. I have a sheet for testing that I got out of Bob Shermon's book. I saw one the other day on a supplier site that was much more detailed though

    What size wicks did you use? I got very little on one wick and none one the other.

    I took notes on everything. I was only able to do the first burn today because I had to go to Cheer practice (my daughter, not me.. HA!) The only thing I didn't do was weight the candle. I wasn't aware I needed to do that. This is a learning process I'm sure will be neverending. I sure am having fun though!

    I am using 4630A, 9 0z Hex & the 2 wicks I have going right now are 51-32-18Z & 44-24-18Z I know the wick size will probably change with some scents, I'm just wanting to get a starting point. Have you used any of these scents before?? Anything imparticular I should be on the lookout for when I try them?

    I got my order from Peak in and the FO's smell freaking delicious!!! I can't play with them yet though until I get this wick size down. It's driving me crazy! Here's what I got... Strawberries & Cream Sugar Cookie Gardenia Cinnamon Buns Watermelon Macintosh Apple Honeydew Melon Coconut Lime Verbenia Home For The Holidays Spiced Cranberry And the sent me Island Nectar for a free sample. They all smell amazing except for the Home For The Holidays. That one smells like Vick's Vapor Rub

    Yes, I knew that the color & FO could change the wick. I am just trying to get a starting point. I was told here on the board that it's a good idea to test each element at a time, that way if there is any issues, it's easy to pinpoint the culprit.

    Here goes.... I pour my first container candles (2) this morning using 9 oz. Hex jars, IGI 4630 wax and a different size wick in each jar. I am trying to find the right wick size for the jar. No color, no FO. Here is the question... Do I still need to wait 24 hours for the candle to cure before burning?

    I got my order from Peak in today. I ordered some 4630A and this is really soft! I'm excited to start playing with it and testing.

    Wait, so you can test wicking without FO? That's awesome, now I know I won't be wasting all kinds of FO trying to figure out wicking.

    So for those of you that use it, can you melt, let it harden then remelt it multiple times?
