I'm making electric candles. I've tried IGI 1343 and liked the result I got but there isn't a good scent throw. I also tried a pillar wax and liked the scent throw on it but I was testing the strength of it didn't meet my standards.

I see where Cheryl was coming from and think that people gave her a bad wrap. When someone asked if the label was made by the poster she said it was designed by her and someone else. IMO, she should've said the graphic was made by Cheryl and they added the text to it. Everything was handled beautifully by Cheryl and Prairieannie until someone else else jumped in there and started making statements and got things going another way.

I did two leather FO pillars yesterday for my niece's riding instructor. I was totally impressed with the realistic smell of this FO. My candles came out with a leather texture (could I do it again? NOPE). I took pictures last night, I'll post them soon (hopefully). I have only made 5 pillars (those 2 are part of the 5), I think I'm starting to like this pillar thing.

I was thinking gold too. Are you making them a yellow gold or is there a way to make them a gold gold?

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try making some in both colors. I'm just so fascinated that someone was able to capture the leather smell in a fo that it would make the candles unique.

Does anyone successfully sell candles with Genuine Leather fo? Do you make them in black or a dark brown/burgandy color? I live in an area that is big for Harley's but also has multi-million dollar horse farms 30 miles up the road and thought I could approach stores in both areas to carry these candles in addition to others. Your thoughts please.

Sorry, but it sounds like you are out of luck with getting these to work. Sounds dangerous to me.

I ordered some liquid dye from them and was happy with I got.

Personally I would test making the font in bold or adding shadowing to it. It needs a little 'punch' to help it stand out more.
