Wezzer,
I am sorry about your bad experience with Upland I wish you had ordered from Silvermoon a few months ago.
Silvermoon is probably backed up with orders for several months now.

If you are doing Salt Bars I do about 21 ounces of oils because the Salt adds some volume to the batch.

No Coconut or Palm it will taste like soap. Use a combination of oils Like Tallow/Vegetable oil, Castor, Sunflower, Sesame, Rice Bran, Olive and Cocoa Butter Deordorized.

It get confusing when doing the 50/50 lye water solution sometimes you just have to write it down on paper. If your recipes calls for 6 ounces of Lye you despense 12 ounces of your solution to get the 100 percent lye amount but you need to add back in your water of 6 ounces to get the 33% solution.

So what happened to the soap? Did it accelerate fast? How long ago did you make it? Your lye is the right amount but you sure did a super duper water discount!!
If it hasn't been that long ago I put cut it up in small pieces and cook in the crockpot with the additional 12 ounces you shorted in the soap and do HP.
