  1. Hemp wicks seem to work much better than anything we have ever tried! It could be because we have a custom blend for our soy wax (no paraffin mixed). All of our candles have burned completely clean and no soot. When we first started 4-5 years ago with soy we used LX in all sizes and it was absolutely a waste of money for us. 2. We have found that dye free candles sell much faster than the candles with dye. We recently went dye free in January and it was the best move we made. We do, however, will make candles with dye for our wholesale customers upon request. When we made our soy candles with dye many of our customers didn't like the color choices and we also offered for them to have their candles customized to suit their needs but that was too many decisions for many to make. Happy Candlemaking! Jameel D. Nolan Kandle Indulgence Company www.kandleindulgence.com info@kandleindulgence.com
  3. Thank you!! It took us 3 web designers in 5 years to get our web site to where it is now. So if anyone is looking for a good designer and graphic designer, let me know. These ladies I work with are EXCELLENT and affordable. You can't get any better than that. Jameel
  4. I like the Madison, Morgan, Travel Tins, Metro, Bulb and Apothecary. As you can see I have made candles in all of these containers and many more! Happy candlemaking! Jameel D. Nolan Kandle Indulgence Company www.kandleindulgence.com info@kandleindulgence.com
  5. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know we did our first ever trade show in Atlanta. It was America's Mart Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Show. It has taken us 7 years to finally decide to do this. Although, this particular show was rather slow (told by many experienced exhibitors) our company did pretty well. I ended up signing up 5 wholesale customers, passed out a lot of our information and a few sales reps were interested in representing our product line. So it's exciting to know after all of the hard work and money we have put in it's paying off. We had our web site redesigned and all new banners created, postcards, etc. Lots of $$$$ spent. Can you believe we were the only company in as temporary exhibitors selling candles? I couldn't believe it! I received a wealth of information from many of the experienced vendors so even if we didn't do well it was worth attending for the information. I have definitely learned a lot from booth setup, materials important to have and not have, etc. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I hope to be able to answer. Jameel D. 6. Hi Everyone, As of this past January, we stopped offering soy candles with dye for retail sale. We have found that we sold more dye free candles than those that had dye. At our last festival we sold 500 candles and we have never sold that many at a show in years. We also decided dye free to better streamline our business and it has been a success so far. 7. Hi, EcoSoya Pure is works better for me with scent throw. I have used both but I highly recommend the EcoSoya Pure. Jameel www.kandleindulgence.com
  8. Hi Mystical Angel, I totally agree with and I have no interest whatsoever in creating such an item because I feel it's truly a hazard. I was simply curious about the ingredients that was used. I attended a major craft show and there was a company there advertising soy candle lotions and was getting people to dip their fingers in this melted wax and people were skeptical but did it anyway. I started asking some questions that the representative was reluctant in answering. Thank you for the compliment on the candle. I use liquid black dye and only add a few drops to achieve a black candle. Thanks, Jameel www.kandleindulgence.com
  9. Hi Everyone, Can anyone tell me more information about Soy Candle Lotions? I'm so curious about the safety hazards. I've seen where some companies use shea butter, soy wax and either apricot kernel or sweet almond oil. I didn't realize that those items were safe to burn. I would greatly appreciate any insight on this. Have a wonderful day! Jameel Nolan www.kandleindulgence.com
  10. Thank you Vicky. I tried to go through the thread before I posted. I began to get cross-eyed! Jameel
  11. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has tried Peak's Strawberry, Peach, Mountain Lake and Sage & Lemongrass fragrances in soy wax? Did you get a good cold/hot scent throw? This is the first time that I have ordered from this company. I have always used Candlewic, Candle Science, From Nature with Love and Brambleberry fragrances. I appreciate any responses? Thank you, Jameel
  12. Thank you! I will do a searc and see what I can find. Thank you! Jameel
  13. Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their day. I had a curious question: has anyone tried mixing soy wax with beeswax to improve the scent throw? Did it work? I made a few candles up mixing the two but I used a very light fragrance... Vanilla Coconut. It smelled good. The candle also burned much slower. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks, Jameel
  14. Thanks Tony! I actually found one that seems to do everything that I need it to do. Jameel
  15. Hi Everyone! I recently launched a consultant program and I need to find out what type of software I can use to keep track of my consultant's commission? Many companies call it "back office." I would greatly appreciate any assistance of you have to offer. Thank you, Jameel
