  1. My kids got me a candle for my birthday...and its from Walmart. But I absolutely LOVE this scent!! It's called Tahitian Sunset and I was wondering if anyone would have any idea where to find a fragrance oil dupe for this? It is amazing! Thanks for any info you have!

  3. Hello Holly! For some reason I didnt get a notification that you posted this last post! I am doing a small little craft show type thing tomorrow and I had one more Hazelnut Coffee Mug Candle left, was going to take it because it always sells immediately but I thought, no... i am going to keep it so I can smell it next to the sample. =) I am very happy to hear that you think its very close! So, did you smell both of the samples and do you think the same thing about both of them? Do either smell any different?

  4. Hi everyone! Thanks for the input! Yes, they want a prototype by tomorrow. I think in a very professional way I am going to do my best to say that I can meet all their requests however, I am not quite sure of the most professional way of letting them know I can not produce a "mock up" of what they want by tomorrow. Im just trying to figure out how to correctly word this lol. I can produce a great product in the manner they are requesting, but not a picture of what that looks like by tomorrow lol....... and the price, yeah....im going to have to look into all this.

  5. I know!! Thats what im saying! My jar candles are $6 each normally and are just labeled. They dont have a fancy bag or box.

They want a card, a bow, a gift box, and a velvet bag - and want to spend $5 each? Geez, I must be missing something... :tiptoe:
  6. Ok, i need some advice and help here! I have sold candles for over 10 years now. But Im a home based business. Do most selling online and locally. But I just got an email from an employee for a major company!!! They want 50-100 candles for holiday gifting. They want their company logo on the label, holiday bow. They want it in a gift box, which they want inside a velvet bag, with a happy holidays gift card.

Here is the email i got from them:

I have attached a lo res photo of our logo. We are looking to have about 50-100 custom candles made with our logo for holiday gifting. Please send me a template or vision of what your company can do for us. We are looking to only spend about 5 dollars per candle with gift cards and packaging. I look forward to your email.

Ok i will be honest here, I have done lots of custom orders and put the companies logo on the label, special packaging etc, but I do not have all of these things on hand to put together by tomorrow and email her a "prototype". Im not even sure how to go about this or what to tell her.

Do you all think im in over my head or do you have any helpful suggestions or advice?

  7. The Candlemakers Store website says it can make a custom scent for you. They have a few coffee scents as well. I don't have any experience with them other than calling to inquire about a few fragrance oils and they were very helpful, but I thought I would throw that out there. I hope you find a replacement oil or can get it duped, it sounds yummy.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I emailed them and they got back immediately, and sent me this:

    Hi Laura,

There is no cost for this service. We need a 1 oz. sample and your

information sent to us. We will send you our version back, typically in 3 -

4 weeks, for your approval/review and once approved, we will add the

fragrance to our website for purchase.

    Thank you!!

How awesome is that??? Holly dear, could i get 1 ounce from you? :D

  8. Votives are wicked up through the bottom and then covered with a warning label. If people are pouring directly into a votive holder then that's not the purpose for that glass. Sticking the wicks in partially cooled wax is old school but using the wrong wick is dangerous and potentially fatal.

These are not votives, but 4 oz jars. The two jars that mistakingly got the cd10s in them had the wicks removed, i replaced with the correct size and kept those for myself.
