    Puma..

could you tell me a little more about it? What exactly would you get if a person did buy the business? I was thinking about it when I first heard but then she obviously sold off as much of her oils as possible. So you would get the codes to her oils and probably her customer contacts? Did she like just pack up and leave?

Hey Daisymay66... If you would buy the business, everything business owned  would go to you. As far as i know she is not leaving her home area in Jonesborough, just selling the business and doing something else.  I wonder how she will handle all this and how she would sell off what she has. I don't know if the realtor would stay involved at this point or another entity takes over. Maybe someone swooped in today and bought it. Wouldn't that be nice? Then again...perhaps none of us will ever hear anything about  the company or the scents again.

  2. Yes...it's not good.  I had no knowledge that they were going to do this. I  was thinking out loud that they just decided to shut it down a couple of days early. Ekk...sorry for the misunderstanding. These guys were such nice folks, it's just another sad business closing story we all have to deal with I guess.  Also very sad is that I called her realtor today and she had as of this morning not sold the business. Oh I was hoping someone could save the fragrance oils we all love. So sad to me! :(

A couple days ago I had a note left by my mailman that the package I ordered from here could not be delivered because I owed another $12. Which I totally wasn't understanding cause I already paid for shipping. Stop at PO to find out why and TCS charged me for a B box but used a bigger box.  I didn't pick it up cause I wanted to call and talk with someone cause I really didn't want to pay $30 for the small order I had purchased. Came home talked to a lady that was very nice. She said if I showed her my receipt she would reimburse me. I tried calling yesterday and today and it says that number is no longer in service. I can't believe that!!! :(:(:(

I'm sorry Daisymay66 ...I hate to hear this.....they packed up and left a couple of days early.  :(

  4. Oh my....I am so surprised and shocked. She was always so upbeat and so encouraging to everyone here. A woman with such great talent and who loved to share....This is just so sad. Sending prayers to her husband and son and to Vicky may God comfort and keep you. Oh you will be missed here!

To Alan...thank you so much for continuing this forum.....it truly was her heartbeat.

  5. Hey Trappeur,

Ohhhhhh.....I love the idea of a Wine Cider scent! That sounds nice Trappeur! Have you ever bought from Sweet Cakes? They have a divine Oatmeal , Milk and Honey and an awesome Honey scent too. I did a .75 of the OMH with .25 of their Honey and it is divine! You could easily blend some Vanilla Voodoo to it also..yumm!  Their honey is just out of this world. Maybe a blend of Tangerine and Honey. A blend of Honey, Coconut and Vanilla. Also maybe a plain Honey and several different Vanillas that you may have. How about BDay Cake, Buttercream Frosting (if you have never bought from Day-Star...oh my this is awesome..good excuse to buy and get their Cake Batter too because this is in the blend too) , Vanilla Voodoo, Cake Batter and Creme Brulee OR Ooey Gooey Caramel....this is awesome too! If the shop likes Patchouli....I love this blend .50 Cinnamon and .50 Patchouli ..I call it Black Cinnamon. I just love this blend ...Honeydew Melon and Vanilla Ice Cream...very Spa like and delicious! I call it Honeydew Ice Cream.  How about Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Souffle, Buttercream Frosting and Honey blend.   Oh this is so fun! :) I hope you find your perfect blend Trappeur!

Switch your browser. I had that issue once, used a different browser and it worked fine.

Just checked Safari and Chrome and they work fine. Must be Firefox or IE that had the issue (everyone should be switching away from IE anyway as most companies are no longer supporting new versions so it will only get more problematic).

Ahhh......you are correcto mundo JAJC!! I decided that on my lunch today, I would try to order from Daystar on my work computer and no problem! The drop down boxes worked great! Yea! Thank you so much!! :)

Vanilla Voodoo has been my choice for years for the best vanilla I have ever found.

Yes, I actually have Southern Tea written down for an account I have as she wanted a sweet tea.

    Trappeur

Get your Southern Tea from Stacy @ Daystar.....the BEST out there. :)

Puma, please share your findings with us girl! And by the way, where do you get Cake Batter? Is that Stay's from Daystar?

Oh Yes Belinda!!! I LOVE Stacy's from Daystar the BEST!! I did a blend of Cake Batter, Bday Cake and Vanilla and oh my gosh it was wonderful....I have also purchased from FB, but of course , it was not as good at all ......which leads me to my next QUESTION....I have went to Stacy's site several times and it look like she has several scents in stock that I want to buy...Cake Batter, Marshmallow, the Original and the Southern Tea and couple others....Buttercream Frosting...YUMMM.....BUT her site will only let me purchase 2 oz sizes only. ...the drop down box will not work.... is anyone else having this problem? Do we need to call her to order? Thanks for your help Belinda! :)

Puma, you need to try a Pumpkin Pecan Waffle.  I just made 6 crystal jars in that scent! And for myself!   It is a very rich decadent fragrance.....And strong!   Omg!

    Trappeujr

That is awesome to know Trappeur! Thank you for the heads up. :) I have on the way the VBN from WSP just to see how good it is and you are right...people rave about it...I sure hope I am not disappointed....BUT if it still a little light...I have already decided to add some Vanilla Voodoo and Ooey Gooey Caramel from CC AND just maybe a LITTLE touch of Sugar Cookie Royale and/or Cake Batter...THAT should crank it up another notch!  :)

Puma, EVERYONE  of those combos sound so yummy!  Can't wait till  you put up pictures!   I notice you have clove in one of them.  I'm looking for a nice clove and was wondering if you don't mind telling which one you use?  Thanks!

    Trappeur

Let me tell ya Trappeur...I do a blend called Cinnamon, Nutmeg & Clove...equal parts..it is wonderful....so spicy and rich and an awesome Fall and Christmas scent. Lots of folks really like it. I have tried lots of cloves....but the best one is Red Clove from Peaks. I ordered Clove and Nutmeg when I purchased those others from NG ...they smell good, but I love that good strong clove from Peaks and I love the ICS Nutmeg the best. Even though I try out others I keep going back to the tried and true ones I have and love. :)

Well, tonight when I get home I get to burn the Butter brickle and Buttered Maple Oats as it has been 2 weeks!  Yah!!!I'll post my findings later this evening.

Puma let me tell you, that Vanilla Champagne from Natures Garden is really a very strong thrower.  I have an account I got this past spring and I've been doing a LOT of wine fragrances for this store and she orders every week (no kidding) the Champagne in the tins and status jars and it's every week!  I'm not a wine person at all....(love my chocolate wine though as it is the next best thing to Baileys, lol) but anyways this scent you can smell the vanilla in it and champagne and actually the bubbles! Neither the vanilla or champagne overpowers each other.  It is a very smooth great throwing scent and I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great wine scent.  I don't mind pouring this fragrance at all.  The other top seller they sell out every week is the Chardonnay from Flaming which gags me...but it sells out every week also.  Another one that is a nice one to smell and is easy on me to pour as it is very nice is the Cabernet Grape from Flaming.  It's not a strong seller yet, but it's moving up there fast.  Please let us know what you think of the Vanilla Champage when you make it as I haven't seen any reviews on this one but mine.:)

    Trappeur

Sounds like I did good ordering the Vanilla Champagne! I can't wait to pour these. Congrats on your great account...sounds like they keep you busy!! :)  Thank you for your suggestions...they are great!  :)

I really like your FO combo - may I ask if you use the kelp from Rustic Ess? I really would love to try this recipe - thanks so much for sharing

I think I bought that book off of Amazon awhile back ago along with a few other soap making books - I think the other one was by Ann Watson ???

Moonstar .... I apologize...I was reading these over and realized that you asked if the Sea Kelp scent came from RE.....it sure did. :)
