:) If you are like me, then you must have a bazzilion 1 oz f/o's gathering dust on your shelves...I soap 10 scents with a few seasonal backups that I swap out as needed.  I was trying to clean and organize my work shop, so I boxed up everything I don't use now, thinking I'll just store them in the garage for later. (yeah, right.)

A little light bulb went on and I began sorting out the f/o's according to fruit, flower, spa, spice, etc. I mixed all the rain/laundry/baby/clean & fresh scents together into a 32 oz bottle and just soaped a 5 pound batch of the BEST!!! fabric softener scent I've ever smelled...even hubby commented favorably. (amazing!)

Then I took all the cucumber melon/pearberry/fruit scents and all the gardenia, honeysuckle, magnolia & neroli and poured in another big bottle. I just soaped this blend (holding my breath) waiting for calamity to seize the batch...it actually reversed trace! And it smells sooooo good! I used yellow hi-ph mica and it turned it a very alarming shade of orange, but so far, so good!

We'll see how things look in the morning...

THIS IDEA is so EXCELLENT Heartsong!!!! What an awesome take for blending scents together....just LOVE!!! :) Pretty soon everyone on here will be blender extraordinaire's!! :yay:

So basically now that I'm assuming that she has sold off all of her inventory, all that is left that is for sale is her business name, vendors, her fragrance oil codes and a list of all the people who have bought from them and of course her reputation.  So  now your buying leads and your really starting over from scratch and building the business again, right?  I wonder how much cheaper the business now is with no inventory.

Actually....when I had called Ms Tipton on 8/30  I was broaching the subject of how the process of selling everything separately after 8/31 was going to work  and suddenly the line went dead. I called her back and was sent directly to voicemail...I take it that she was not interested in talking about it before the end of August. So perhaps now Ms Tipton may be open to discussion on this. She sounded quite down and unhappy about the fact the business had not sold yet and my question probably sent her over the edge. Oh well, a person will never know unless they ask or try to ask. :)

    Hi Puma,

Fillmores Christmas tree who I have been using for 10 plus years is a "true" balsam fir.  It's beautiful and so many use it.

Now Frasier Fir is another completely different pine unlike Fillmore's balsam called Christmas Tree.

The company "Thymes" has the most popular fragrant scent of another different type of pine which is the Frasier Fir.

So many including myself have been looking and hoping for a dupe of Thymes's Frasier Fir.  Candle Science just came out with a new scent called Frasier Fir and I think it is a beautiful dupe.  I have it in wax and will be ready to test momentarily which I'll put up my review.  I've been seeing so many here on the board say that WSP has the exact dupe of Frasier Fir.  I've never tried it from them, but I'm thinking about it since it is getting rave reviews.

Hmmmmm....so I actually need to keep using my Christmas Tree from Fillmore and the Frasier Fir is another type of animal and scent?  Another must have? :)

Frasier Fir is the only candle my husband ever picks up in a store and asks me to make.  So I have tried a few versions of it.  To my nose, WSP has a dead on match.  Fragrance Buddy is completely different and smells nothing like the original by Thymes.  I just got a couple sample bottles from Candle Science when I noticed they have a few new scents on their site.  The CS smells close, but not as close as the WSP.  I have not used it yet, but will most likely just mix it with WSP when I do.

    Hi Beaches....

Hmmm....you have got me to thinking....have you ever gotten Christmas Tree from Fillmore? Is the Frasier Fir from WSP better? Would love to hear from anyone regarding this.....Is IT POSSIBLE to buy a better Christmas Tree scent than Fillmore's....I'm excited....opinionated opinions appreciated. I have the WSP Frasier Fir sitting in my cart.  :)

    Thanks Puma!

i think it that was me, I wouldn't of had any sale. Just for the simple reasoning that the sale of my business would look a WHOLE LOT BETTER if I had a bunch of inventory to go along with it! At least to me it would. Now if you do get anyone interested it's kinda like well you have to now buy all your oils on top of all the money you just put out. Idk maybe I'm thinking all wrong.

Your welcome Daisymay66. I have to agree...when selling your business...having a lot of stock to go with your price would be a really nice way for a person who bought the business to start out. Yes, it would be a very expensive start to your business having to restock the oils...yikes....but if they had a great presence on Facebook, Twitter, of course here on Craft Server and with the reputation that they already have for their oils, I would hope that they could start out with a bang. :)

  8. Hi wthomas57!

You are not nitpicky....you just want quality product. :) I have used Cajun's liquid dyes since 2000 and just love them! When they are new, you just have to run a straight pin or something similar through the nozzle to make a hole that the dye comes out of. I screw the lid on and away I go. I always shake before I use, but it probably is more a habit than a necessity.  They are easy to use and make gorgeous rich colors. You may have already seen this, but when you are on their candle dye page...if you scroll down , you will have all of their scent recipes...I JUST LOVE!  :)

  9. What a beautiful table Candybee!!! Perfect scents to get one's Fall mojo going. Oh the burn of cinnamon....but does it ever smell good!  :) Thank you for reviving this....it is time for the madness to begin. :)  I will be making tarts this weekend in several scents and lotion and a couple of batches of soap. Yea! But also going to make time for a cookout and relaxing. :)

There should be a nice memorial picture of Vicky placed somewhere on the "desktop" with a few words stating who she was and what she did for the site.

(if you think she would have liked this, that is)

    Definitely!!! Amen to this Sista!!
