  1. I picked up a couple a Wallyworld a few weeks ago (24.99) and picked up all the hardware to add the spigot at Lowes (love the military discount there!). Of course my tools are still in storage several states away so have not done the work yet. LOL. So I am still mostly using the old double boiler method, which is fine, I'm mostly doing small testing batches. You can pick one up on Ebay or other websites all over the Net. Mostly running 49.99/54.99 with spigot. If you are not mechanically inclined, that would be your best bet, as the hardware to add the spigot is not cheap. You will save a few dollars doing it yourself, but have to ask yourself if the time is worth it. HTH Steve
  2. Oh, don't worry, I am already lining up my prebuys on that and Merlin's Forest :smiley2: I think we better stop hijacking the thread, LOL.
  3. Sounds a bit suspect to me. The website has no real information, including info on past events. And if you read on, they actually want to charge you to include you own "donated" merchandise for the gift bags. My take on it is they are out to simply put as much money in their pockets without really offering you much benefit. Their claims as to there demographic audience is also what I would expect from a spam email. I could be wrong, but it just "smells" a bit fishy. Just my 2 cents. Steve
  4. Well, they were out of the Patch and the Tropical Element, LOL. I figured as long as I had months of testing ahead of me, might as well test as many FO's as possible. Steve
  5. Funny story, I wanted to try a few FO's from MW this morning, and I figured as long as I was ordering....yep, ordered samples of almost everything they had (I think there were only 2 I did not try). Guess I am a male FOHO :smiley2: Rhonda was very helpful and nice. Steve
  6. Hey All, While surfing the Net I came across this. I do not do clamshells, but I think this may be a pretty good sale on the molds (25 cents). I have never heard of the site, nor have I ever ordered anything from them. Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone is interested. http://www.scottcrewcandlesupply.com/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=247449.10141&p_id=CP1524&xm=on&ppinc=detail Cheers, Steve
  7. Hello All, New to the boards, but not to candle making. Just recently started making candles again after a long pause (military deployments). Always worked with paraffin but am now testing palm and thinking about soy (for tarts). Has anyone heard or used shuruaat.com wholesalers? They seem to have some interesting tea light melters, but the site looks a little iffy to me. There is some mispellings, etc. Maybe it is just a recently started site, but really not sure if I want to chance it. If anyone has used it or heard anything about it, please let us now. And BTW, love the info on this site. Very, very helpful in giving me good starting points for testing. Thanks for your time, Steve
