  1. You could always keep the jar an make it an "exclusive" just for that store. Point out that you have been planning to change your jar style for a while (nothing to do with the copy cat) but since the owner likes this style so much you will keep it in production just for her store. You could even offer to have something on the label that read: make exclusively for that store. While this would separate your candles from the copy cats candles, it would offer the owner free advertissing and return customers.

  2. From personal experience before you pay a lawyer to get a C&D ask yourself if you are willing to take this person to court and if you really have a case? Unless she sticks your name on her labels this person can claim that she was just doing market research, and going around to see if she can get store owners to replace your products with hers is just competition.

I know it is upsetting but obviously this person is not interested in doing the hard work herself so I am going to assume that she is in it to "get rich quick". I would be curious to see what the quality of her product is, have you tried one of her candles?

I would just contact all my accounts and tell them what is going on and that this person is not affiliated with you in anyway.

  3. Last year I made tart melts with Aspen Winter form NG and did not sell a single one, I was wondering if renaming it would help?

Fragrance description says that it is a "crisp citrus blends with an abundance of warm winter spices of clove and cinnamon with sweet vanilla. Top notes include: Orange, lemon, and cherry. Middle notes include: Clove, cinnamon, and spice. Base notes of: vanilla and musk."

  4. YouTube...Facebook...blogs, I don't know why these are called social network? These days if you don't do what a customer wants they'll blackmail you with: I am going to tell my followers (all 5 of them) how you treat your customers?

Nevermind social...I call it cyber terrorism, cyber drama with young girls beeing so obnoxious.

So yes some customers deserve to be slapped.

  5. Yes, I did 3 or 4 a few years ago. It is a great concept for the people who run these samplers box programs but IMHO I think that it is a big waste of time and money.

The boxes I did always had samples from the 2 or 3 other competitors (nice)...I also included a discount coupon and never got any orders. You can create your own sampler box for your customers or you can just hand out samples at shows.

  6. Who has a good Vanilla Lace that compares to VS? I have AH light but I thought it was close but according to one customer...it is not. I see that NG has Vanilla Lace Pearls how does it compares to VS. I need something skin safe.

  7. I agree CareBear I do not sell solid lotions in the summer because I know that they will melt. I have shipped 500 orders so far this year and only had this item melt...this is a base and you have to heat to 120º F for it to turn liquid so I guess if you leave it anything long enough in a hot mail box it will melt.
