  1. Unfortunately this is nothing new. It's sad but some people just don't want to do the hard work...they just want to cash in.

You can watermark or you can add your store banner at the bottom of your pictures.

And yes I would leave a comment on their facebook page.

  2. I use Etsy and NO I would not recommend it. The selling fees have become outrageous, with what I pay them for a month I can run a website for a whole year.

If you are just starting there is way too much competition now, just search for a bar of handmade soap and you'll get 50,000 choices. If you already have your own customers you might loose them. Many customers are just looking for a deal so it is a race to the bottom as far as the prices goes, plus whatever you make someone will copy it and sell it cheaper.

When it comes to feedbacks you are at the mercy of the customers. Never mind what your policies says if they didn't like the scent they'll want an exchange, they say they never receive their order (you know they did), they think they paid too much for shipping, they think you didn't ship their order fast enough, they confuse vendors, they're in a bad mood it doesn't matter if you don't do what they want you'll get a nasty negative. Unlike e-Bay they are not required to contact you first and you cannot blacklist buyers on Etsy .

A few months ago I had a box damaged by the postal service, many of the tarts were broken I offer a 50% refund because while the tarts didn't look good they could still be used and smelled just as good but the buyer insisted I refund the whole order " because she didn't want to leave me a negative feedbacks but" she would.

I have started my website, I will save money and no more blackmail.

  3. I have a USPS medium flatrate box that was crushed and I mean really crushed by my friends at the Postal Service and the customer is telling me that my box should have been insulated.

All my business is done online, and I think this is the second time something got damaged this year.

Of course no one wants to buy insurance and it is my fault when something happens. Well I am just fed up with this and now everybody is going to buy insurance, I'll just add it to the shipping cost.
