  1. I have been forever seeking a really good "Fresh Linen" scent. They are either all too perfumey or you can't smell them when they burn.

I LOVE Scentsy's CLEAN BREEZE and I would love to know who they buy their fragrance oils from.

If not does anyone know of a wonderful Fresh Linen Scent and from what supplier?

    Thank you in advance. Elizabeth

  2. I am currently selling the Candle Warmers Illuminated Warmers. I have just started selling them and already, one had a bad bulb, one had bad wiring, one is loose where the bulb screws in and one had a chip in the ceramic.

In my opinion that is a few too many problems for the first 10 I have sold.

So I am back searching for the best warmers. Please, any suggestions.

The one good thing I will say is that they have very good Customer Service.

    I appreciate any help. Elizabeth

  3. So how do you mix room spray? How much fragrance oil and room spray base do you use? And what is a good room spray base, from which company?

Also, does anyone know how to mix body cream? How much cream base to how much fo?

  4. They are just as easy to pour as container candles. I personally like to up the % of FO that I use in these...because there is no wick you don't have to worry about a little extra FO. Also you may want to test the wax you use to see if it comes out of the clamshells easily...you may have to blend with a pillar or votive blend so they pop out okay. However, I get away with a container blend in mine. Just give it a try. It really is easy.

What type of container wax do you use for your tarts, if you don't mind me asking?

  5. The container wax from the Candlesource is my very, very, very favorite (did I say that it's my very, very favorite?) :P. So far nearly every FO throws great in that wax. According to Loren and what's on his website, this wax can be used in containers and also for making tarts.

I hardly ever color my tarts, perhaps I should to give them visual appeal, but I don't. Anyway, when I do use color, all 3 waxes give me good tones, not pastel-looking ones. The Candlesource wax is the one that looks the creamiest.

If Loren ever stops offering it, I will jump off the roof. I love it, it is my very, very favorite; incredible throw. Now, this is just my opnion, of course, but I have tested soooo many waxes and combinations, it's not funny.

So in order of preference, spot #1 goes to the Candlesource, followed by CBL129 and then IGI 4786. HTH

So the wax from Candlesource that you like the best is just called Container wax? Does it have a number or anything?

  6. No problem with either 4786 releasing or with the CBL 129. Occasionally I may have to put them in the freezer for just a few minutes and they release beautifully. The Candlesource wax is a cinch and just perfect for tarts. It is listed as a wax that you can use for both containers and tarts. HTH

What is the appearance of those two waxes? Is it creamy or are the colors bold?

  7. I am using the Ky Parasoy and my complaint about it is that it has an odor that interferes with some of my scents. Most especially my Mexican Vanilla and my Sugar Cookie.

What wax do you use from Candle Source?

The one you use from CandleWic is the CBL129?

And when you tweek them, what does that mean?

I am new at this, and want them to be great before I get too crazy promoting them with my customers. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.

Also, how much scent per pound of wax do you use for your tarts?

Thank you so much for replying. Elizabeth

  8. O.k. everybody, chime in. What wax makes the best clamshell tarts? I want it to have a creamy appearance, if possible, great scent throw and easy release. I don't want much. hee hee. I really appreciate any help. I am not convinced the one I am using is great. And please, include where I can purchase whatever wax you like. I am in Texas so any supplier near me would be awesome to cut down on freight. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, Elizabeth

  9. I have been using the KY Parasoy tart wax after reading that it was predominantly the favorite with all of you.

My question is, do any of you notice that this wax has a strange odor that can be detected when using in the illuminated warmers? I notice it changes the smell of Vanilla scents most especially.

I remember seeing in other threads that there is a 444 or a 446 wax that is also very popular, and I was wondering what brand they are.

Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Elizabeth

  10. I am still wondering if there is some reason why I should not use the same wax I use for my candles for my tarts. Do certain "tart" waxes hold the scent for more uses or hold the scent longer or is there any reason the ones you mention like the KY or 416 or 444 or whatever is specifically for tarts and works better in that product?

I am just now getting ready to start making these and want to have all the best info before I start buying anything. Thank you, Elizabeth
