Great job, girl! I have been dying to try this....you pushed me to do it. Thanks!
Question: What did you use to cut it?

Thanks, that is good to know, since I am very confused. I think I will look into the kit at Peak. As far as reading....I got the instructions down, but I am the type of person who likes to know the "Whys" of things. Sometimes that is a pain...but I like to know all aspects of what I am creating and why it all comes together. KWIM?

Hi Meridith.....So glad to see you here!
Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

I have never used soy wax in soap, but I do use it in lip balm. I use it in place of beeswax. Soy is a softer wax, thus making the lip balm not have as much drag as beeswax. KWIM?

Thanks so much for the suggestions and the links. I am still trying to find my way around here, so please bear with me.

I would like to try my hand at making tealights and votives. I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I do make wax tarts, using 100% soy wax and I throw in a bit of stearic acid to harden them a tiny bit. I am so clueless when it comes to making candles, oh and the wick sizes and types......just confuses the heck out of me.:rolleyes2
Thank!

Wow, thanks for the great welcomes and compliments!
The second one is a log in a log soap. The pic shows it not trimmed, yet. That was the first one I made, didn't make enough soap for the second pour.:rolleyes2 I love making confetti soaps......gets rid of my ugly soaps. It is scented with Citrus Blackberry from BNL. I love it.
The first one is a GM soap. It is really dark brown, now. That pic was taken when it was first cut. I scented that one with Sandalwood/Vanilla.
Thanks again!
