How many of you have on-line selling and what it makes on line selling successful for you.I see there are people who make fair income from it and I see people thats been a few years on line and sell hardly nothing. Thanks and I know others are interested in the same.

I have had a candle maker tell me she uses triple strengh fragrance oil.She would not tell me the supplier(trade secret) Now its not triple scented.If so where can you find it?I have been looking! Thanks again for your help.

hi,I ran my business for about 2 years by myself,yes,you get real tired at times.I spoiled my clients so bad that they would not except anyone else to wait on them,if I was in the building,they would talk around the helper to me,which mad the helps mad.But I never found any one I could trust leaving them totally alone.I got so riped off or they just did'nt show up and store was closed.ugh!So I ended up being a worker too and everything was fine unless I missed a day !But hopefully you will have better luck,it just maybe where I live.

I use aloe butter in soap making and it is not a hard butter and not as soft as coconut oil.I like it.

I have seen candle tarts that look like they have a sugar glaze on them.any one know what it is or how to do this. Thanks alot:confused:

I love the flea market except some people:lipsrsealthey tend to throw my tarts around like trash!but for the most part people are real nice,just listen close they will tell you what they are looking for ,keep notes and take it from there,as far to bring 3 scent each on candle scents per day and tarts ,you can never make or take to many,I nearly sell out each weekend ,the next week i make twice the amount and sold.I think the main thing here is they don't like overly stocked tables,they say it's over whelming to look at,keeo it simple not too fancy and always set up in the same spot so repeat s can find you .I don't if it helped you or not.But I do know no matter how I packaged my soaps,how fancy,how plain,how many bars,they do not sell well at all in this area but craft fairs are the opposite.Good luck

May I please sugguest the everything soap making book by Alicia Grosso.Has great recipes in 1-2-5 pounds for soap with all the oils you have.It is worth the money! my other sugguestion is Soap makers companion,it's everything you would ever want to know about soap making with recipes. Good luck to you in your new adventure,I remember how excited I use to get and waiting to get to use the soap,it seemed like a life time to me!

I know what you are going through,it is hard to compete but don't try to compete,people to love the the one one attention they get from people like you and all of us.I sell at the antique and flea market and hear so much of it and I say well wally world is up the street try there and let it go.I do sell my things for more than other vendors do too and I don't care if they comment on it.I do have repeat customers and they end up saying I have tried others but yours is better and decorated so nice.Hang in there,people don't realize they hurt others feelings.I did say to one person "you don't need to be rude to me just keep walking"

thank you!I would like to ask a question.I have been seeing that some people use 10%fo in tarts some more some less,mine tarts at over 7% smoke in tea light tart burners that are 4 and 5 inches tall I use igi6380 with a25% 1275wax added.Is it just me or is this common for the smoke in tea light burners?thanks!

Hi,I know what you mean.I ended up using sodium bisulfite,it is used in wine making to keep the nasty stuff out,and you don't need to rinse it.I have used it for years on just about every thing to keep purified,sterlized and it is used in many products such as juices,wines. you can find it at snow drift farms or any wine supplies . Hi,you were right about higher temp,lst night I went back to start over,at 8% fo -added at 180-hand blender with a flat paddle for 3 min. and this morning it scented,yeah!!!I used zink 51-32-18 wick,I sure hope it burns now.Thanks,I just about gave up.I don't know why the fo sat in the bottom of all my test jars,no matter what % I used,I use the gesmo with a flat paddle on it to blend the fo and wax.I am still puzzled.Thanks alot for your advise.

thanks,I have tried 5% scent to I am now on 11% scent and it's been 5 days no c or h scent,wicks cd 10-12-zink 51's-60 the htp the jars get so hot you can't touch them.I ruled out rrd 40-47 wicks.the zink the 51 small flame will melt straight across hangs on the sides,60 burns well but smokes on any level scent%.How long did you wait to test burn how long did it take for the scent throw cold?I could just cry!It been 10 days and I still don't have a candle made to use. thanks for your response.
